I made this at the start of 2000. Keep in mind - it was cool back in the day, so don't expect it to kick ass...now that people have much higher expectations for every aspect of Flash games.

Hell, don't even bother to play it.

Is it worth 1st place??

Some people may say it does, some don't. myself, i think it should be 1st, but X-Ray glasses is a tough contender. Worth doing it again to see what the outcome of every choice is, but after that, not much replay value. still a great entry and gives X-Ray glasses a run for it's money, but should it be 1st??? YES,YES,YES!!!

Steet Life Review

This street life game has changed the american society as we know it. The game has brought new hope into the race we are now known as the human. This game kicks the living donkey balls outta everyother game, making it supreme. New hopes for cancer have been produced because of the making of this game. And it may seem scary, but actually have infulenced an entire school to kill there parents. So watch the classic STREET LIFE, it's not about hope, it's about the money, drugs, sex, and alchol. That we like to call America...

Bobbing heads, masochism, and a view to kill.

Although the beginning is very confusing and very lackluster, this "Choose Your Own Adventure" Flash quickly develops into something more. If you can look past the practically unanimated graphics and extremely slow and incredibly linear playing, this game actually has many redeeming qualities.

For one, the art is fantastic. Everything is wonderfully hand-drawn, and some of the effects are nice, notably the club scene lighting. And although proper credit was not given to the creators of the sound, the vocals and effects are on the verge of mind-blowing, and are all-around entertaining.

However, there is little to no replay value, the characters never move, and it's unbearably linear, yet the first time through Street Life is quiet amazing. If you look at this as a game, you'll be dissappointed, but as an interactive movie, it suceeds as a wonderful piece of Flash. A must see!

Dethroned

There's a reason Street Life was number one for so long. It had pretty much the most nudity of any Portal entry. Now that Cooties Bar come along, Street Life has become just another portal entry.

No questions asked, this is Will Stamper's prized peice of work. Compare it to everything else he has done, and this one, by far, stands out. There was TONS of work put into this entry, it is just that when compared to such masterpeices as "Prof. Bobby Knight," it seems a little over rated.

Street Life: The Will Stamper gravy-train.

Many Flash authors in the Portal seem to have one movie that's their "Big Movie". Street Life is by far Will Stamper's biggest (and best movie). Not much in the way of interactivity and the plot takes a while to get off of the ground, but good drawing skills and use of sounds from the PC game "Kingpin", as well as other features such as the hentai .gif playing on the TV in the hotel make Street Life a great romp. As I said before, the one thing that this game is very lacking in is interactivity. I believe there was once a band called The Ugly Mugs who wrote a song called "Cold Turd on a Paper Plate" - That pretty much sums up the gameplay in Street Life, but don't bury it yet! WS definitely has a hand in art and all around multimedia. Personally, I'd like to see more in the way of gameplay from Mr. Stamper, but who knows? Maybe one day we'll see a full-blown action/adventure/RPG from him.
