It Has no mizzenmast...
"It do now, Jim" "It do now..."
It was Extreamly funny but, Like... WHAT!!?!?! and this isn't one of those funny whats it's a serious kind of what like....I seriously didn't get the explosian!!! What's up with that.. My reccommendation (spell check) would be to, like have a good ending!
It has an ending now, Jim.
Wow. Not since the days of Rocketship Monkey 1 has Newgrounds seen insane flash of this quality.
First of all, the story is superb, albeit brief. "Jim" and the Pirate are great characters. The colours more than make up for the lack of some details, and while there's not much animation (eyebrow lowering over the eye was funny though #;-}>), I think the flash being comic-inspired makes it okay.
Anyway, I just love the dialogue. And while spoken dialogue would have the potential for more humor, it would obscure that kick-ass techno loop (damn that was really good, and somehow fit a pirate on a cruise ship, I dunno how...) and possibly it could also ruin our conceptions of the two characters.
My favorite lines, BTW, aside from the one I used as the subject of this review, were those of Jim, especially the "There is no mizzenmast!" one... the way he threw his arms out and dropped the drink and so forth really reminded me of something from Peanuts, possibly involving Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown, not sure...
My only complaint is a bit of overuse of the "step step step step" noises when people are walking.
Great job, deserves much higher than the 1.68 it has right now (I did help protect it yesterday, but it also got my 5 today, and will several more times to help it out a bit). If you ever feel inclined, I'd love to see more of this delusional pirate! Encore!
