GILBERT: the dissociative freakboy
EPISODE 1 - My Hero(in)!
No one is quite sure what Gilbert's deal is, let alone what species. One thing we do know is that he's got a case of split personality disorder. However, this is no ordinary split personality disorder; when he's in a situation in which his conscience comes into play, he has a delusion that he actually splits into two beings which obviously have their own personalities and opinions on the subject at hand. In reality, there's actually only one of him, but in his mind, he is two. These two beings always have a heated argument which leads to a fistfight, and one of them always eventually kills the other (therefore killing them both). In this episode, Gilbert is confronted by a seedy drug dealer, and his two personalities have differing opinions as to what should be done.

I've been getting a lot of comments that this is somehow similar to the movie "Fight Club," which I have not seen. It's a coincidence! I will now see it to see what all the fuss is about.
