=======NEW UPDATE (Oct 6, 2005)========
Just over two years later, I decided to take a half an hour and make a few tweaks to the game. I dropped 400 kb off of it, fixed a significant boss bug, and made some graphical improvements. Few people will ever see the changes, but I'm happy they're there.
=======NEW UPDATE (Oct 2, 2003)========
Finally, a new version that answers to the three main suggestions I've been receiving: easier, less lag, and a boss meter. Thanks a bunch to the beta tester of this modified version, luck_of_the_irish. He has reported that this new version is significantly smoother, so I hope everyone has a lot of fun with it. Please wait patiently while the preloader loads.

Thanks especially to my voice actors and actresses - Francine (LovelyArtGirl@aol.com), Tazuki Fearon, TESM, and The_Super_Flash_Bros).

This has been my only Flash project since early March, so there's a lot of work apparent, and I hope it pays off. I haven't seen any space shooters this complex around Newgrounds, so I'm hoping for Daily Feature with this one.
Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way, particulary my voice actors and actresses, and beta testers.
Information regarding the game itself is in the preloader. Happy shooting ;)
Preloader's fixed now. Sorry bout that :$

Audio credit goes to Prodigy, Daft Punk, and Chemical Brothers.

Whoa...

Graphically, it's one of the best Flash games. Ever. Seriously.

The music and sounds were good, that goes vor the voice acting too.

Interactivity, can't complain with that... Lot of options and buttons to press! Wohoo!

Style: It's not like space shooters haven't been done before, but the only thing that matches this one would be R-Type for the Gameboy... It ran real smooth on low quality.

Violence: Not much to add here, no blood, some explosions

Humor: Hmm... No humor that I can see

Overall: Great game, a tad hard, otherwise brilliant.

Decent game, but a few flaws

This is a very good shooter - I just have a few minor problems. The ship is too unresponsive - it takes too long to fire and aim your weapons, and the manoeuverability is poor. It's also not the easiest of games to get the hang of - the controls aren't natural but I couldn't see an easier way to set them up. It might have been better if you had an "aim up/down" rather than rotating option, whereby the weapon aims at an angle 45 degrees different to normal, like Super Metroid on the SNES for example. If those gripes are ignored, it's a great shooter - it looks and sounds brilliant and there's lots of different weapons to play with and enemies to kill. If only the game was more intuitive, it would be an all-time classic.

Good but...

The only thing i had a real problem with is that even at the lowest settings, the ship moves too slow and the weapons pivot to slowly also.

needs tweaking

a few things need changing in this otherwise good game firstly can we please not have to listen to the briefing every time we die and secondly can i have some sort of hints to kill the boss (a boss health bar would be nice too)
apart from that good game

NegativeONE responds:

To be honest, I left the briefing in partly because I knew most people would not be giving this game their undivided attention. For example, the briefing is a chance to message back all those people who've been talking to you while you were playing ;)
The order for the boss should be tail, arm, head, because destroying its limbs damages the main unit more than just putting all your firepower into the head. I'm uploading a new version soon. It may include a boss meter.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I'm not sure how people are still finding this game, but I'm glad.

Nice Creativity!

I have seen plenty of space games around but none with a hot almost naked chick as a main character. I like this. Keep them coming.
