Wow! I would like to thank Tom and the crew of NG for putting this on the front page. I had no idea this would happen. Also, thanks to all my fans for their support. You guys rock!
The George Bush Show is some of Sam T's best work in my opinion. Technique-wise it is deceptively well made: good writing, good voice work (wide range for just a single guy), good visual composition and camera use, good use of music, etc. I still find it funny watching it all these years later, the caricaturing is really on point and the satire isn't dumbed down. It feels ahead of its time.
I feel bad for how under-appreciated Sam T is in general, but if Dubya was happening today he would surely have many more views for each episode.
Man, when I look back at these, I feel the exact opposite. haha. Oh well, if it weren't for this video I don't think Newgrounds would've ever noticed me. So thats a plus.
Wow Sam T has come a long way huh? I almost forgot he used to do a shitload of political humor and you know what I kinda miss it. Hey Sam if you have the time why not make a spiritual successor and call it the Obama show or more parodies of Obama. Anyway good job on this one
No interest in doing so. Also, I dropped all the political stuff as its divisive and has a extremely short shelf life.
Quite the decent work here Ebola, the quality of animation was great and I like that opening shot of the White House right after the opening theme. It really raised my expectations and your portrayal of all the members of the Bush administration was quite funny. Bush's character in this series shows a bit of truth about his actual character, he was easy to take advantage of him and be used by his own administration. Nice work here!
Sometimes the voice acting was muffled or unclear making it harder to understand possibly funny lines, some of the character designs were a little bit tacky and could have used some touching up or something. Also there's the occasional scene where it's just pointless talking and made me tend to drift off from the flash.
I haven't watched much of the Dubya Doo series but this was quite the hit especially since it's just after the Iraq War had begun. I guess this could be considered somewhat historical and it's quite the comedic work here Ebola, just needs more effort on some of the facial designs and not as much chit chat at some points.
I like this series because it portrays W. in the way (I think) that he was as a US President- I could go on about I thought of him, but that's another day's story.
So it begins
You know, this was actually taken from a time where I really didn't dislike Bush that much. I think it was only around the 2004 election that he got annoying. Then again, I didn't vote until 2008. What's great about this is how everything works together so well. Dark humor is really popular on this website, but it's nice to see some that didn't involve people getting blown up. At least not in principle in this cartoon, though it's great to watch.
I think this may have been the first time I ever heard of Paul Wolfawitz. Like the descriptions say, this is funny and scary at the same time. It kind of makes you wonder why they didn't just kill Bush and then have Dick Cheney be President. The funniest part was probably the Jesus coloring book. I love how the animation is sketchy, giving it a dark appearance.
The Fine Bros have an announcement.
What happens when a certain Storm trooper got rescued....
