I'm not sure you understand what "underlying" means. If there's a deeper meaning to this, it's burried pretty far under poop jokes and a slot-machine plot. Honestly, anyone qualified to make a ninja turtle "tribute" should at very least know that they wear masks, and not headbands.

Way too much time was spent on static characters wiggling to vaguely inane music.
The voices were hard to understand, the character models were horrendously off, the humor aspect went AWOL about halfway through, and there was absolutlely nothing about the plot that made it either a "last stand" or something that benifited at all from attaching itself to the Ninja Turtles.
