Nice RPG.
Would be nice if there was a faster way to walk around and a faster vs. screen though.

I enjoyed the combat system.
The person wrote "miss miss miss" for their review obviously did NOT read the instructions for the game. What's with people rating portal movies without viewing the god damn thing first or making an effort to try playing the game (if it is one)
I agree with another reviewer that flash may be a limiting medium for you.

Anyways, that was a very fun RPG- lengthy (that's a good thing but I was afraid my browser would crash on me half way). The plot is decent too and there is some minor character development.
Enemy design is fine too.
The music gets repetitive but for 836k I'm not going to bitch more.

Keep up the good work- can't wait for the next one.

This must've taken a long time, and just for that reason, it's one of the best submissions to Newgrounds i've seen in a while.

There are many things in the statistical battle engine that need tuning up though. This is a difficult task, and i'm surprised you even did it so well.

It has potential to be a very interesting game, but I believe flash will limit you in many ways. Try a different programming language that will leave a lot of options open for you.

Well, for one thing I never really liked rpg's, so I'm guna be a bit bias. Anyway, the drawings were poor, the sound was annoying, and it was TOO DAMN HARD, apart from that the action scripting etc was fuckin brilliant. Next time you make an rpg, get some help with graphics, and have more problem solving, all you can do is walk around and hope you don't have to fight anyone, I hope this critisism has been constructive.

"Finally a Flash RPG!"

Something I've been waiting to see on Newgrounds. Graphics and animation are not as good as some games/movies on here, but have their own style, which grows on you. While the gameplay itself has a few limitations/quirks that are to be expected with Flash games, it's otherwise masterfully done. Can't wait for the next installment. Rated this a 5! (because no other RPG comes close to it .. if there was similar competition, I would have probably voted 4)

"Deserves the title of best RPG on Newgrounds"

I was amazed at the level of interactivity and how everything was well thought out and more or less free of bugs and glitches. I was also amazed at how long this RPG was, especially when you count the fact that it's not even a megabyte in size.
The art is decent, the background music leaves much to be desired, but the basic elements and depth more than make up for it.

This is the first real good rpg I have seen in flash. I give you a lot of props for the effort in this one. I really like this unique battle system, I've never seen anything like it! The graphics could be a little better and the walking right to left thing to be kind of awkward. It's very hard or maybe I just suck cause i haven't beaten it yet. Besides that this is a fantastic game and I would love to see a sequeal that improves on the first, than it would be perfect!!!

"Oh my god! Real characters!"

I love this game! The graphics, obviously, weren't as good as Playstation graphics or whatever, but
they were more than adequete to convey the storyline, and they were pretty good for
flash.

This RPG was very much a typical Final Fantasy type RPG...some of the lines and
events so could have popped out of a 16 bit Final Fantasy cart. But, I mean this in
the best possible way. I don't mean to suggest that the action is cliched, but rather that
it is worthy of a classic series.

It may seem strange that I have given many of the categories scores below 10, but given this game a 10 overall.
That's because the best part of this game is that it's a real RPG, not a flashy arcade
or shooter game. Most of the cateogries apply more to those types of games than to
actual RPGs.

My final note, which relates to the title of my review, is that I was glad to see actual
characters with personalities! Oh my god....I didn't think I'd see that in the Porta!

Congratulations. This game is amazing. It rises high out of the crap.
