One of my favorite games I've played yet. Unlike a lot of people, I didn't find it too hard, in fact I thought was a little easy to become way too overpowered. I ended my game with all but 1-3 cards on my characters being a 8 truimp (the type depending on the character). The rest were either 8s or 7s. Put Emma on strike and damage and Marthanne on def and then have Marthanne heal while Emma dishes out the damage. Its over way to easy. All this depends on having the patience to first gain a few lvls, giving you extra cards, and then using the easy fights to get all your cards to at least 7, and then spending the rest of your time working on improving your worst card until all are 8 trumps. Since its free to heal, and you can sit right outside the town and move back inforth in sight of the arrow, easy. The idea is ingenious. I love the card system. The characters look good. They oviously recieved a lot of work. They don't always have the same pose or the same stupid smile. Storyline was simple but pretty humorous. The inate suits of each caracter and how they affected them was unique. The battle system took only a bit of exploreing before I understood it. Tutourial could have been a little better there but it was sufficiant. Loved the game as I loved the sequals. Gave them all 5s. Would love to see you keep creating.

You crazy button-mashers can quit urinating on this game now. Six years, no update!

Too bad, in my opinion, because this series [I just played through them all over the last couple days, I'm leaving my total thoughts here] had hilarious and intelligent dialogue, and a brilliantly original and interesting combat system.

Yeah, the first time, I took one look at it, exclaimed "WTF?!" and closed it. [That was back before I was on my mental meds, by the way.] If anyone's actually reading the reviews to see if the game is worth playing -- you have to give this game a chance. If giving games chances doesn't seem like a good idea to you, by all means go away, and blow a load of anger on something like Dad n' Me [i love thta one].

One last note -- I LIKE the graphics of the Absalom series, including the final un-chapter. They're simple yet really set the mood well, and they aren't distracting to either the player [no complaints of "where am I, dammit?!"] or the author [in terms of cost in production time, unless you count the marvelous QUANTITY of different poses and icons in Absalom Dungeon].

The card system was simply amazing. The attack choices mere good, too. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it through the first forest area. I'll try again tomorrow.
