I assume certain people don't quite understand the message, obviously I thought the reality of the matter was less than appealing to most and thus people lost sight of what it was really about. I on the other hand have placed close attention to it and although the message is relatively abstract, in the same way it's rather simple. This is why I liked the movie. Because you've obviously got a great mind, but perhaps in future you could make your movies somewhat longer and try to place some form of proper animation in to convey your message better. Kudos, and I will keep this message in mind, because I often am quite regretful of past decisions, and it has weighed me down somewhat. Still, life goes on, and good luck.

So what is it that you regret? Do you perhaps regret not having written such a simple song and submitting it to the Audio portal yourself?

I think that you've lost me with this offering, as it could have a great many meanings. The letters in red don't spell out anything that I could make out, so there was no subliminal message. It's a very simple slideshow, that could have been so much more, if for a key component, that was forethought.

I wonder if that is what you regret?

I regret not being able to write anything more positive about this flash.

Is this based on your own experiences? I agree with you, regret is in fact a burden. This flash, however, isn't very good. It's just words and no actual animation. I liked the music choice.

The points I give this flash is based on how much effort you put into it and how good it actually looks. It looks smooth, but it's short and I can't imagine that you put much effort into it. It would be unfair to give it over 5 points just because it's based on simplicity and is good in that way...

Well, the story in your author comments is actually more intersting than the flash itself.

The flash just offers some of that "nice" elevator music that annoys you after three seconds and the sentence "Regret is the greatest burden a man can experience".

So there's not much to review here, I'm afraid. You should have animated the story you described in the comments. Would have been much better... and you also could have used that "Regret" sentence in the flash, as some sort of "final thought" for the main character.

The animation was basically a slideshow, with simple pictures, I might add. Which really isn't that entertaining. Animation = 1

The idea wasn't really an idea at all. Just sort of thrown together in a matter of minutes, at most. Idea = 1

The execution was poor. Just, without an idea or real animation, it's hard to actually do anything with it. Execution = 0

You need to probably work on the FIRST to subjects quickest, because without them, you can't even do anything, really.

"i don't get it"

how is it funny? is it even a joke? it's just a slideshow of words that aren't an acronym for anything put to what i can only assume is a form of elevator music, which does go well with the movie i must admit, anyway the movie is too short visual-wise it was good, but was too short to mean much, sound-wise i liked it for a bit fortunately that's all i needed to endure so good choice in music, as a whole it's pretty pointless though still good job for a short piece of work

You gave me a challenge here.. this is kind of hard for one reason. Because I don't really think something like this should of been submitted to be honest, but of course that is my opinion and as long as the flash doesn't break any rules then it's up to you if you want to submit it or not.

Animation/Graphics - I really can't give you anything here so I'm sorry about that. You did have just a bit of animation with the switching of the words and they weren't too fast or too slow in my opinion so you do get a point from me there. Also, the text in the flash was easy to read and was well organized so you get another point from me.

Story - The story.. well I have to admit that the story in your author comments was really good and would make a great flash animation in the way that you explained it. You receive another point for having a great description of what you are suppose to be thinking about. Other then that there wasn't too much in the flash at all. I did think that the red letters were going to spell something out like the others did so I guess that was just a tad bit confusing, but it was nice to add some variation instead of the same black letters.

Audio - Decent audio, which of course goes along with the subject since it is elevator music that you used so you get the last point from me from there.

Overall - My opinion is that I don't think it should be on newgrounds, but like I said before my opinion is my opinion not yours so it doesn't really matter. It was very simple and I had to review it a little differently because of that. Usually I don't just give out points for things that were done well like I did in this review, usually I just say what should be fixed and what could of been done better, but I honestly couldn't think of anything in this situation.

"Wierd Idea"

Wow, this was short, and very very small, when i read the author comments i wasnt exactly sure what to expect, was it going to be a music video on elevator music? A humorous elevator skit. No. A message, Regret is the greatest burden any man can experience. That i do not believe. :P

Graphically it was very simple, just words flashing past on the screen, however you were very misleading in your colouring of the letters, by colouring the first letter of every word red i was lead to believe that the words spelt something, they didnt. I was disappointed by this. YOU LET ME DOWN.

The sound was nice, lovely music accompanied the flash, but listening to that for too long would probably make me want to gouge my own eyes out with rusty forks. So thank you for making the flash relatively short. :D

I like the relevance between the author comments and the flash, but there was actually more substance in the author comments than in the actual flash itself, i think you would of been better off putting "Regret is the greatest burden any man can experience." as the author comments, then making a flash going through the story you wrote out. I think that would of been better. But overall its not bad.

And lovely music but you could have maybe included the introduction you included in the description as I kind of story at the beginning to make the flashless empty. Plus a lot of people don't read the description and could vote lower than this deserves.

It's a nice idea but the words themselves seem a little off center. That should be easy to sort out. And yes I was looking for an anagram too heh, you could have maybe rephrased the message to bean anagram somehow, that woul be even better.
