I generally despise sprite-based movies. Especially since on newgrounds they seem to get MUCH higher ratings than they deserve. But I think that this was a really interesting way of doing one. The sprites were all ripped very well, and the shots were set up beautifully! It had a very cinematic quality about it. Great job.

Maybe its my preference talking, but I don't think sprite based animations are any good. Even if your drawing skills are limited, its important to develop them, instead of relying on artwork from others to put something together.

You are right, Akira is one of the more popular anime movies, and oddly enough, a lot of people I know who don't like Anime LOVE it, I'm sure you won't have an issue with people recognizing it.

If you put this exact same effort into drawing a animation as a tribute to the movie, even if it was a quarter as long, it would do a lot better. It seems that around here most people only like the sprite stuff in comedy, and its hard to take seriously.

Dude that was awesome. Good job on turning one of the greatest anime movies into a form even the kids will love! But seriously good job. The sprites and scenery fit perfectly and the story flows just like the movie. You get a 5.

It could use a preloader so people with slower connections can allow the movie to buffer, meaning it won't lag while playing. Otherwise, it's very good!

i remember watching this movie but fell asleep in the middle of it and i cant find the movie anywhere so i really want to see the rest of it cause i liked it
