I see how the otheres are skeptical, but what they seem to forget is this is your first go at a car/customize game. It's suppose to give an idea of your potential, showing people your attempt realy puts your style, skill, and reliability in perspective. As for the game, 'Id say it's a damn good first shot at the least. Once I played a game, it was the guys first attempt at a platformer. I swear all you could do was move this blob around and jump on the miidle platform... and as enmys came you had to jump on them... thats it... no story, no level progression, no nothing.. His excuse was that he made it in "like 2 1/2 hours of work". Even if i did believe that theres no point in going fast if the game sucks, tell me, how much time did you spend on the flash?... Anyways, i've seemed to have strayed off topic. The game is a good 2.5/5 5/10, since it's your first try I give it a 7/10. I see potential in this work at it. i'm going to list some ideas for you seguel, if you decide to make one that is.
Ideas for PMP2 (Pimp My Porche 2):
1. First, make more available cars... Oh and don't make the default car a corvette... That confused me alittle.
2. Make more available corlors, maybe even a palette, or you could wait 'till PMP3 for that, they seem pretty advanced.
3. Make more options add some or all of the following...
Head Lights (with color options)
Only on tinting(changes with car) but make the color of the tinting customizable.
Neon lights (lets face it, it's just not a pimp car otherwise). Also make it like the tint... where theres only one but you change the color.
Side Mirrors ( with choice of color, including carbon)
Full body racing stripes (with choice of color)
Individual Racing stripes (with choice of color, it made me mad that there wasn't any hood stripes for this game)
Spinners
Backrounds
NOS Side Sprayers
Mufflers
Tail Lights (with choice of color).
Brake color
And Goodies ( TV's, Stereo Systems, Full Interior Customization, Racing Pedals, etc...)
Ya' know just go crazy...
4. Add music and SFX, some rap, some rock, some punk(not needed, but liked by some) Im more of a metal person myself but lets face people like Rap the most. And just to be ironic through songs related to cars in there.
5. Make it organized, make a menue and some color pallets, but try to keep it simple.
I know this is alot for a review and i'm sorry it's so long, I just love cars, games, options, customizing, simple, organization, and people with good potential. Also don't forget, you can gradually put these things in over the course of your sequels, no need to go all out on the next game, especially with the color palletes and menues( which i forgot to mention, should have tabs for there perticular part of the car, doors, hood, trunk, etc...). Besides, good to leave room to improve... keep people waiting to play YOUR game, ya' know?
P.S. As of the end of this "post script" sentence, I have 1,109 characters remaining.
