Heh. You spelled it colour.

Some people tell me to make it harder, some tell me to make it easier. I think the next version will be slightly harder and with shorter levels, and a lot more of them.

Haha good idea's O.o

Loved the game. =)

Like EVERYONE else...Yeah 3 didn't seem to fit.

Why don't you have a opening/ending sequence to introduce The next Puzzle Cube?

"Great to start, then..."

date: April 25, 2008

The first puzzle was really cool. Took a while to figure out, but it had a simple logic behind it, so it made sense in the end. The last two puzzles though felt a little tacked on. After all the first puzzle was a sort of "here's some stuff, now figure it out" style that was original. The other two were just very stylish versions of "Find the ball in the cup" and "Simon Says".

All in all, the look and style was great, but too much dependance on Simon Says for points and a lack of a finite ending took a few points off. Might I suggest turning the game into more like a boss fight, where the evil cube in the centre is your enemy and it would switch to any of the three puzzles. If you completed it in so many moves for the first, or did it for so long in the case of Simon Says, you'd do it some damage. Then people would compete to beat it in the fastest time.

"nice job mate"

the first one is my favorite... maybe other versions of the first puzzle could create a whole "puzzle style" (has potential) using other things besides colors

anyway, about another way to end the third puzzle, why don't you make it simple? Limit the sequences (to, let's say, 10) and give the player 5 chances to miss... if he completes the 10, then, some bonus points and a happy ending... if he misses, game over with his current points.

oh, a suggestion, the third puzzle should be sequential... I mean, let's say that the first sound is I...the second I and III... the third I, III, V ... the fourth I, III, V, II
whatever, just an example

anyway, nice work!

I think this might make a practical puzzle for Dungeons and Dragons DM's. If they get to zero then the trap goes off.

"very interesting"

date: April 24, 2008

Game 1: It took me a little bit to figure out how I was supposed to move them but it wasn't too terribly hard
Game 2: Too easy and takes too long, but what was with the number of tries going down even though I got it right and got the 5 points? it makes it seem like I screwed up or something. Just say something like level 2 or stage 3 next time instead of lowering the number of tries left
Game 3: Is there an ending of any kind other than screwing up 5 times?

April 24, 2008

Author's Response:

Thanks for the feedback. The comments on the wording I used are especially helpful.

No. The only way for the game to end is to screw up 5 times. Can you think of another way to end it? I am open to suggestions.

"Brilliant"

This game is nearly perfect. The first game is difficult to get, but rewarding, the second game is pretty easy for me, and the third is brutal. That's what I had a problem with. The "X tries left" made me think that I was about to lose, so you might want to explain that some more.

So, not great for hours of entertainment, but I like being able to figure things out myself. Some atmosphere would help, slow, faint music or something. Good all around, but the music memory makes me angry.

"Ooh...difficult"

date: April 24, 2008

I eventually figured out how to do Game 1. It's tricky...I won't give it away, but notice how the background changes colour when you move the cursor?

Game 2 was easy but I'm generally good at those games. I'm bad at memory games so I didn't do that well at Game 3.

A very good game overall. I look forward to more stuff like this in the future (but perhaps a tad easier lol)

"Great game"

date: April 24, 2008

I really liked this game, and I got 333 points the first time I played, so I was curious how far does the part 3 go? Infinite until you screw up 5 times or is there a top off. Just curious because then there'd be some extremely high scores.

Really fun.

April 24, 2008

Author's Response:

So you're the guy who got 333. You sir, have an excellent memory.

It just keeps going until you screw up 5 times. Technically, it should be infinite.
