Notes for the creator: As daellis94 pointed out, the boss fights are fairly easy even on hard mode. Better if you could turn off the healing or at least slow it for higher levels of difficulty, but retaining the life reset for the different chapters. Another way to make the game more challenging would be the removal of the invulnerability while jumping.
Tips for players: When faced with a swarm of enemies or in the middle of a very intensive boss fight, just keep jumping and don't stop. You're invulnerable and constantly healing when in the air. NOTE: This only applies to double jumps. You'll get hit as per normal if you do not jump twice. Plan yourself to land in a safe spot when your health is full, then take the time to do some damage. When more trouble comes, go back to jumping. Never stay and hold position for too long. Its a lot harder than being constantly on the move.
While in the air, if you still want to do something to your enemies, then switch to your melee to avoid wasting ammo.
Throughout the game, constantly take note of the properties of the weapons you pick up(damage, recoil, firerate, availability etc). This will save you the hassle of waiting for rare ammunition drops.
There are 9 unlockable weapons in the game located in Service Tunnel 2, Genetics Lab 2, and Lab 4. To access them, look for red bells in the ceiling of those levels and hit them. Somewhere, a door will open, upon which you enter into the new area, search for a keycard which will grant you access to a door somewhere else.
For those who find it hard to access the secret chambers on Labs 2 and 4, here: First select the side you want to jump onto. Now stand a short distance from the OPPOSITE side(not the side you want to get onto) facing AWAY from your target side. Place your mouse at approx 45 degrees upwards, then do 2 jumps. Note that no direction key should be pressed for the first jump, then the back key should be pressed on ONLY the second jump. It may take you some time to find the proper distance from the door.
To access the Beans Chamber: When fighting in Genetics Lab 3, after the main exit opens, stay in the room and continue fighting. After some time, the message 'New Area Open' will be displayed. Jump onto the ledge above the main exit and you will find that the previously locked 'Sythesised Lifeforms' doors will be open. Beyond that exit lies the Beans Chamber.
For those attempting hard mode: Go to the armory and arm yourself with the Hades rifle on a full load and the XM345 Skull Drill. The Skull Drill is homing and kills in one shot so you can barricade yourself and take out the tougher mobs. (an alternative will be the Desert Eagle, mobs frequently drop ammo for that weapon and its another powerful piece of gear) When using the Hades rifle, try to get opponents in a line in front of you and aim for head shots. Will often result in chain kills. Ammo for the Hades is also very plentiful (.308 Winchester).
To unlock the N.U.K.E.: you must unlock all weapons (excluding the bean gun), make 500 melee kills and also 10,000 total kills. Then go to level select and choose the armory. Make your way to the topmost level behind the previously sealed doors (they will be open). Behind those doors lies the N.U.K.E.
If you find it hard to get the 500 melee kills or the 10,000 kills, train in the Beans Chamber (they have very low health and do you little damage). An alternative would be to bring a Gauss pistol and a X6 Flechette rifle into the zombie chamber (zombies are ideal as they move slow). Soften the rows of zombies with 2 or 3 shots from your ranged weapon (go to 4 and they will die) then switch to melee and finish them off. Upon attaining 500 melee kills, you will get a new weapon, the Sword. Note that it only appears when you switch to a new room.
Thats about all, overall, this is a great game that you can play for hours on end and not get tired. Have fun ^.^
