"Fourth part in the series is both better and worse"

I really like the Phantom Mansion series, but the 4th installment left me a little cold. Yes, the puzzles are as challenging as ever (especially the last one...that was insane!), but the magic lamp was the first "installment-specific puzzle enhancer" that I felt didn't work well. It added an extra element, but I just felt that on most puzzles it either didn't add to the difficult, or it became extremely difficult because you couldn't see the illuminated squares until you were right next to them, sometimes with monsters chasing you. It was by no means a broken or bad addition, but it wasn't as fun as the magic doors or the cursed floors. Still a great game, though, and I love how the puzzles continue to get more and more difficult.

Leave the ads 'til the end, no-one uses them anyway. And in 'Thousand Yard Stairs', on one particular spot, the whole game freezes up and force-quits the program0.

I have loved this whole series of games the way the puzzles change for each game and I think the magic lamp is awsome

Love the way each color has it's own theme, but majic lamps isn't the best in my opinion, even though the puzzles have gotten better. The last one here was a real doozie, Great!

I didnt see any clunky movements as refered to be another review.
I've been playing computer games for over 20 years.
And I've payed money for games that were not near as addicting.

And I played it without sound ...most flash games tend not to have fabulous sound trax.

Granted I don't make games.....but I've played much worse

Very good game. But it is not cool when you die. You have to start over again and when you must do that for 3 times believe me you gonna flip out!
