"Unbelievable collab!"
date: December 26, 2007
Before I start my review, I just wanted to commend the creators of this on such an AWESOME collab, it blew me away, not only because I'm a fan of In Flames, but everything was great.
Graphics/Animation: 9.5
The reason this is simply a 9.5 is because there were some little party where the flash didn't run as smoothly or some of the animation didn't stand out as much as the other did. The shadowing effects were amazing though, and the smooth transitions between the authors were huge in this flash, some of the work done basically blew my mind. Great job here, I can't say enough about the animation.
Sound/Music: 10
The music wasn't choppy or anything at all, which is a plus since there are flashes out there with choppy music. There was a lack of sound effects, but it's a music video, I mean come on haha. But great song choice to animate about, it really made it interesting.
Originality: 10
I've never seen anything like this, overall in every aspect almost flawless, and it was basically a music video. Not only was it original, but it had almost a hidden meaning to it, there was a story, and not to mention the quotes also played a huge role in understanding what was going on, a quote in the beginning and a quote in the end puts the viewer more in the mood for the flash.
Overall: 10/10
I used to give 10s out a lot, but as flashes get better it gets harder, but I'll have to be honest this was definitely a 10. From the preloader to the credits, the effects blew me away. Awesome job and I hope you're all planning on doing something like this again, because it was awesome.
