"wow,very entertaining...."

date: November 3, 2008

very entertaining except for the controls

you need to have a restart button, and a a way to keep the camera at an angle so that you don't need to zoom in or out every few seconds. Also, it would be great if you could chose colors, that way you can customize your little ball till your hearts ditsier! cant wait for a second one

"Good Start"

by: Gloomy
date: November 29, 2007

There are a few improvements that could be made. Make it so you don't have to click BEGIN at the start and let the player go right to playing without the delay. A restart button for the levels is needed too so you don't have to use all your moves whenever you screw up. The bosses would be better if they would appear in random locations so you don't just have to memorize there pattern.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the feedback.

About the RESTART BUTTON, press ENTER while playing and you will pause the game. In the pause screen you will find the RESTART BUTTON.

About the bosses, they can't appear randomly, because I have been testing for a lot of time that all the hops that the boss make were fair for the player. I mean that the player always had a chance to reach to the next hole. With random holes it would have been impossible to assure a fair situation for the player.

"Very Innovative..."

.....the physics are awesome. You gotta make a sequel and change the control(like the other gentlemen said) And yes allow more freedom in the levels. There are a lo t of themes you could use in the sequel too. This game was a good surprise but there are some improvements that could put it on the front page,..although it might be already:)

I thought about to make that game controls could be totally controlled through mouse. There are some great games that use mouse control to set up potence and trajectory of the projectile, but I think that the use of the keyboard enables to be more accurate control in the throws, and normally in the game you must be really accurate.
About the themes, I love them, the artist get really involved in the creation of the enviroments, I specially like the "Graveyard" environment and its background music, It would have been good levels for Hallowen.

"Good game!"

by: Redins
date: November 29, 2007

Good game over all imo. Perhaps make a level editor.

November 30, 2007

Author's Response:

I thought about the idea to make a level editor included in the game. But, I was a little tired, I'm working in too many things, and I wanted to finish the game correctly.
It would have been a cool idea, since the size of the playfield can be really large, you have no limit of the holes number, and to be able to use user tilemaps would have been great since the user could set their own environments. I imagine a "Tron" or "Geometry wars" style, or something metallic in a the style of "Megaman"/"Rockman",... well, I will keep in mind these ideas I get a chance to develop more this idea.

"it was good"

date: November 29, 2007

I really liked this game. Good gameplay, original concept and good graphics. Now, the critisism. After I had played some of the levels over and over again I started to notice that you kinda coded the whole game through. I mean that the player needs the exact same moves every time to make the level. This came clearler and clearler the further I got in the game. There is no room for improvision. You have scripted the game through. This brings the game down a lot imo.
The start screen was bit irratating. There is really no need for it. If you insist in keeping it, atleast make it respond to a key, like Enter. Then you dont have to move your mouse over it and click it everytime. It's a burden since the game is operated on keyboard, and then you suddenly need to reach out for the mouse. (small thing yes, but it matters :P)
Good job with the game.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. I really appreciate that you have played the game.

About the room for improvision, I don't agree with you. I recognize that there is a clear flow of how the game can be completed, but you have a range for improvisation, you don't have to do it perfect to clear successfully the game (unless you play in "HARD" mode). You can make mistakes and complete the game, but the more difficulty you select in SETTINGS the less chances to make mistakes you will have.

About, the start screen is intended to show initially all the level, but I didn't think than a couple of seconds would be so annoying.

You are right about the need to interact with the mouse when the game is keyboard controlled, I made a mistake, I will try to repair it.
