"Neat, but, kinda lacking"
date: October 29, 2007
The music became very repetitive and felt very "generic" for every scene. Somewhere, between the low framerate, lack of voices and time it took for anything to fully happen, I got kind of frustrated. There's nothing wrong with the approach of having no voices - that's fine, it's just that I find that sometimes you spend several seconds having a skull bounce into, across, and out of the camera box... and it just feels like it's taking up space instead of showing me something interesting. I can "presume" he hopped his merry way over to the other area and we can get right to that cut.
Flipside, you have a lot of attention to detail. A lot of the drawings have good quality to them. The traditional cartoon sounds is classic. You potray a simple and effective little story.
