"IT is amazing."

Such a s perfect way of showing each of the things in life and such. having chanses of having a double life, and leaving it for money, a life with someone to be with you, and now, nothing is left.
Just... leftovers.
I loved it, cool and interesting, humorous and soft. i like it so much.

in such a short movie, you offer a good satirical view on life, which is something quite rare on newgrounds.
the movie was never too slow nor too fast, and you kept away from all the clichés. actually, it is really a work of art! congrats!
at times though, the music was insufficient. but i guess it matches nicely with the visual.
good job, keep posting your things!

"Best of 2007"

We have a saying in hollland that goes like 'The one's dead is the other's bread'. I guess it sums up the concept of this film very nicely.

Big ambitions, different plans, fallen dreams, making compromises... This movie has it all. Everything packed in a flash animation that consists out of 1 background and very little sound effects. Yet there is still enough detail in the animation to keep the viewer entertained for the entire 6 minutes and the content goes deeper than a 2 hour hollywood movie.

The balance between humor and drama is perfect and each follows up in a really subtle way after the other. It's really interesting to see how each of the characters have their own views on how to handle the situation and how every time the dream gets brutally disrupted by other characters, forcing them to compromise. I like how there isn't a moral and how the viewer gets left with the question 'what was the use of it all?' The strength of this short lies in the fact that it manages to bring a comedic note to these seemingly serious questions with trivial actions from the wonderfully drawn characters.

Highly inspirational and as you said in your comments, this is really festival material. I'm sure it will win alot of prizes. With this you have set the bar for yourself really high though and I'm eagerly awaiting to see what you can come up with next.

I really loved that. The animation was very good and stylistic, and the story was clever.
I thought the birds were cute and the kid killing the bird was cruel, but realistic. All the people portrayed were really interesting, and kept me tuned. Great work!

First of all, thanks for making such a magnificent masterpiece, i really appreciate it! Secondly, the harmony between background and foreground is well applied.The music, the sound effects, the impression on people's face, the dreams with joyable expectations... Everything is parallel with the unique drawings and enjoyable atmospehere... Thanks again for your submission... "Leftovers" has become my first place favourite...

"Wow! You're So...Morbidly Interesting As An Artist"

I loved it, especially the way you played with foreground and background.
The eyes of the viewer were given quite a field day with this one so big ups on that.
Big accomplishment with the story. A woman's heart attack gives birth to a nest.
A boy's simple slingshot gives birth to a meal for a cat and suicide of a bird.
And then the saga continues with leftovers being transported from one to another.

this piece have alot of quality, which makes it fall into the category above average. the style is really nice. in fact i like it very much. this is something you would see in annecy if the wind is right.

however it is not that interesting when it comes to storytelling. the story is ok, but it is long, too long in my eyes.

animations are smooth and cool. far better than alot of the crap you see around here. And i want to congratulate you on that. it is pleasing to see that some are actually trying!

keep it up.
