"Cool'n all.."

It was worth playing, but it got boring fast. Not to offend how good the game was. I loved the intro, it was really, really realistic. I love the song you put, 'Dark Skies'. Its the best.

"Fantastic!"

date: August 19, 2008

I can tell a lot of work went into this game. I think this is far better than some of the games getting frontpages and awards. The plot was great, graphics were good. Sound was excellent. Even the voice acting was pretty well done.
I REALLY wanted to keep playing, but there were a couple of things that kept me from doing so. The biggest one, which I believe has already been mentioned, is character selection (mainly allies). The dropdown with ally names in it, to me, was a cumbersome way of selecting allies. To perform a heal could be especially hard. Your healer could be hidden behind your archer forcing you to find his name in the list, then you can press the number for the healing skill, then your target could be hidden in the melee in which case you are out of luck and he dies. It would be nice if you could press a number to select a character, then once you had the character selected, the numbers correspond to the skills for that person. Then, if you are using a skill that will target an ally the numbers will correspond to then again. Lastly, you could press a specified key (maybe `) to clear your selection.
Then, the healing would go something like this: Press 4 (Healer), press 2 (Heal), press 1 (Hero)
If would be great if, while editing someone, you could cycle through members without having to go back and make the skill learning/equipping process faster. I spent a lot of time in this screen and it was always a pain to click on the first person, edit (click on skill, click learn, wait for animation, click exit, click on learned skill, click on slot, click on equip), go back, click on the second person, edit (same seven steps), go back, etc... Add in the lengthy animated transitions and you could spend 5-10 minutes getting your guys ready for the next fight.
Again, though, I think this was a great game and I very much look forward to the sequel. Next time I hope you get more of the recognition you deserve for such great work.

Author's Response:

Thanks for your extensive review! :D Although I haven't implemented a number-unit-selection system in the sequel, I'm hoping that its new field view angle will make selecting allies much easier. The menu transitions will also be a lot faster. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised that people are still playing this game - I'm glad you enjoyed it!

"Pretty Good"

The only really annoying thing is that you're only allowed to start with a male hero with male followers...I mean, for the main hero I can understand, what with the voice acted bit in the opening, but I figured I'd at least be able to select the genders of my generic troops. It didn't really hold my interest enough for me to finish it though, so I don't know if any female classes were unlocked further down the road. Overall, though, it's a nice game.

Author's Response:

Thanks for your review! I actually avoid female characters because I'm a fairly bad artist, and have extreme trouble trying to make a person look like they're female. :P Gender selection would also take a rather long time to put in. I'm usually more worried about how to hold people's interest long enough for them to finish the game. ;)

"good game!"

i love the concepte but i agree witht he reviews before me. some items would be useful as well as shortcuts for each character selection also i found the campain to be a little unbalanced. a level 4 here agains a level 9 and about 5 more of his buds? a little overpowered maybie you could dumb them down a little, maybie a dificulty option? also have the ability to choose wether your the evil warrior or the good knight and make it tso that you can always play teh free mode without campaing completion. really looking forward to sequel!

"Amazing"

Great, great, great game, i really dont know how this game haven´t any award.

However i agree with the guy posting before me: selectingthe units sometimes is a little messy, and choosing ur target, specially when u want to heal somebody its extremely difficult. Also i agree in the class thing, classes are not balanced, and the fact that u have almost the same skills(its important specially at healing skills) in everyone makes class combination not neccesary

I loved the plot, the style, the music...everything :) Ill be waiting ur next works
