"Great"

date: May 8, 2008

I've been trying to follow Drowtales online, til I got lost and just decided to start buying the manga. Anyway, isn't Ariel Drow/Spyder or something like that?

...why are there moons and clouds when the place (Orthorbbae Cavern) is underground?Other than that i love it oh and also I like the Orthorbbae dorm room background or whatever it is.

Author's Response:

From what the comic artist told me, the sky is a magic projection on the ceiling, not a real sky.

"One mother of anime, but..."

date: August 15, 2007

.... Maybe insted of all these really short segments, you should work on them and realease them as a single movie. Hell, now that the series is complete, why not do it now?

"Visually appealing"

date: May 6, 2007

I hadn't seen any of the drowtales stuff prior but after watching this I just might have to. It's well drawn and animated. Nice job!

"Very Intriguing"

date: May 2, 2007

You know, even after seeing countless flashes of torture and violence, I still winced at the "ouch" and sound she made after that. Goes to show how well these characters come alive.

"Really nice animation, and Idea"

date: April 30, 2007

But just as I was getting into it, the movie stopped. I don't know what time line's you were on, but still it would have been a lot better if it went on a little longer...Or you made a sequel.

I wish I could draw hair decently :(

"Dude... can I hug you? :3"

date: April 28, 2007

To the last guy, and others, who rant about the characters not being drow... sigh... get a fucking life, D&D or not, you guys lack originality and imagination. For starters, and I'm only going to say this once, Drow do not exist! Thus, they can be or do whatever the imagination wants. Also, I've played many table-top RPGs, and frankly, I don't give a damn about what version of drow you get, all that matters is how well the movie was put together and presented.

So, thanks a lot dude, you totally rock! I look forward to new vids!
(Though it was pretty short, I wanted so much more! Oh well...)

Author's Response:

I appreciate your openness to alternate versions of things. Though this is a collaborative work and I'm not responsible for the story or race or anything, I can answer for Kern that his drow are different from the D&D ones, though they do in fact live underground. The stars and sky outside the window are an illusion projected onto the cavern ceiling. It's more evident in the comic.
