"Great and powerful tool"

My title says it all, the AtemiS tracker is a must if you modify .MOD or if you just wanna play them. I think there's a problem with your tracker and dual core CPU, but i'm pretty sure it is already on top of your fixes list for the next version. Well done.

"A lot like MadTracker... and I like MadTracker."

date: April 8, 2007

The first thing I noticed when I played the demo song was that this is a lot like MadTracker. I make all my music in MadTracker. I hope this does well for you. It's great for me.

"Well"

date: April 8, 2007

It's awesome and all that stuff. But what it does, is basically waht modplug tracker does(it looks the exactly same too..) . It's much more easier to just go download that and use it to do whatever you need to do. (also it doesen't lagg like flash usually does) I still give you alot score(4) for a good work :p

Author's Response:

Well this flash was more about how it was possible to play those songs in flash and also to allow flash developers to use them in theirs games when I will release the library :)

Thanks for the review !

Wow, great work there buddy, that's one of the most advanced flash app. I've seen in a long time. That's a nice and intresting contribution to the community.

Thank you.

"Nice app"

date: April 8, 2007

"App" flashes are rare on Newgrounds, but I always appreciate seeing a good one. This one's especially thorough, I'm impressed.

Have you considered taking the MOD-playing core and releasing it as an AS library? A lot of people could really make use of a simple MOD-player in their games.

Author's Response:

Well, I will not release this library because it is poorly commented and coded. That's why I want to wait a few weeks to rewrite it completely and add support for .XM, .IT and .S3M.

Thanks for the review :D

"how did you get the samples to load?"

date: April 8, 2007

I've done an emulator in Flash myself, and what limited for a long time was the gfx capabilities (fixed in Flash8 with BitmapData).
I reckon you have been faced with a similar problem but for sound...
How did you get the samples to load? how do you change the sample properties (i.e. pitch)? Does AS3 support load of binary data, and has better manipulation abilities?
Anyways, great work on this, bravo!

Author's Response:

You will be able to see everything in a few weeks when I will release the library with support for .XM, .IT and .S3M :D

As for loading sound in flash 9, it is a bit tricky. Adobe release what it called ByteArray but you cannot simply load sound from it. What you can do however is load a SWF from that ByteArray, so to load a sound you created, you create a SWF with your sound playing in it. :)

I know my English is bad but I hope you understand what I meant ._.'

"Amazing!"

I'm pretty astonished that such a complex flash application has been created... and very glad I stumbled upon it! I've been listening to MOD music for a couple years now, and I recognize some of my favourites in there. Please don't ban me for this, but for anyone who'd like to hear more of this kind of music, I recommend nectarine radio. Search for it on google.
