i agree, you should buy whenever you want to, i mean in game its like this "ooh oh no, meteors are coming, better not build anything and just attack them" i mean COME ON go like this "meteors are coming, build stuff so we can protect the world better"

probs and what should be done:

faster lazer weapons, because they just arent fast enough

lack of area effect weapons, add a nuke or something

automated turrets should have more upgrades like the person below me said

if we got lazers why don't we have forcefields?

a weapon that seeks out meteors cuz its just too boring aiming at them.

im only giving it a 5 because i was bored enough to play this at 2007 and make it to getting all three turrets with red or blue lazers and get automated turrets

"A dissapointment"

date: September 19, 2009

I have a lot of complaints for this game.

Firstly, lack of breaks in between rounds, this is extremely annoying if you're on 1% health and have only 3750 cash (real situation for me), and with 250 more cash you could get yourself a second automated turret, but no, because the next round will be far too long away and you will inevitebly die. I think you should be able to pause the game when you like and buy stuff, not wait for it to come up.

Secondly, all of the weapons between sledge rounds and the lasers are rubbish! They all have a really low rate of fire, and thus you're better off just sticking to the default weapons and then suddenly making the pricey jump to the lasers. Fix it.

Thirdly, the automated turrets can't be upgraded enough. Sure, there's the visibility, but there's only 2 settings for the actual turrets. That's there, or not there, with a standard laser ammo for "there". And that means they're pricey. You should start with just sledge rounds for them and then upgrade, with the upgrades costing less than controllable turrets because you can't control them. For example, I might want my turrets with rockets to easily cause a lot of damage to close up asteroids, or with rapid fire rounds to help hit them from distance. Or even make them switch between them as they get closer. Yeah, do the switch between thing in the next game. That would be awesome. Anyway, so make the turrets upgradable instead of just awesome as standard. That plus being able to call the upgrade menu whenever you like, and adding more rapid fire weapons, and that will be awesome.

So, please fix the above things, and this will be epic. It will be going straight to my favourites list.

"good game"

date: September 1, 2009

Its not very inventive but it's made nicely. It's not perfect but I had fun. I think low fire rate weapons suck.

Aren't games supposed to be fun? This seems more like a flash game for masochists. Asteroid offers less for you to do and is older than Jesus, but at least Atari understood that making the game ridiculously hard would've made it not fun to play at all. Maybe you should take a hint too?

This is really more of a game of "bounce the rocks around and see if you can get through a couple of rounds before you buy real ammo." Except you never really do, unless, by some miracle, you happen to bounce rocks back before they sky rocket to the world as they easily bypass your shooting. Sometimes it'll even be at the edge of the screen, clear that it's not going to hit the world, but, lo and behold, it does, and what can you do then? Because if you shoot it you'll just shoot it down quicker to earth.

A second cannon doesn't help either. It's all about ammo type or an auto turret, and when you start off broke and the premise is set like Armageddon (you're screwed, good luck), then there's really no incentive to continue in this very hard game.

"Main Menu Button... Pain."

date: July 8, 2009

My only complaint is that when you click the menu button, there's no confirmation screen that pops up. I was like 6 levels in and doin' well, went to pause, clicked the wrong one, done. Anyway, up until that point, was good.
