"Great idea, HORRIBLE execution!"

Okay, let's go over this, point-by-point.
Graphis: Graphics in this game are awesome, like the very last of the Super Nintendo games. In fact, I think some of them may have been ripped wholesale from Seiken Densetsu 3, aka Secret of Mana 2. :)
Style: Just awesome. The style on this game is great. It's like a hybrid defense/shooter game.
Sound: Eh. The sound could have used some work. The only sounds were the BGM and the sounds the characters made, but those sounded like they were sampled at an annoyingly low bitrate, so they kind of jarred. Some more sounds would be nice, too - two, three, or even ten different "fire" sounds for the characters.
Violence: Hells bells, you're shooting people from the sky! That's violent.
Humor: Not much to speak of, a few chuckles in the dialouge, but not much.
Overall: 0. Why?
FRUSTRATION FACTOR. This game is one of the MORE frustrating games I've played. There is a reason, a very GOOD reason, in fact, why most such games use mouse to aim and fire, and the KEYS (Arrows, please; don't be an AZERN hater) to move.
In this game, you cannot dodge fire and aim. It's just not possible. If you're aiming at something to shoot at it, that means your character is moving slowly TOWARDS it, in a predictable line pattern, and cannot dodge any incoming fire. So while you have to try and hit them (because in this game, the enemies can move laterally while firing, but the hero cannot), your hits are not a sure thing - their hits are.
Extremely unfair, first off, and secondly it's ridiculous. Fighting up to level 4 was hard. TEN TRIES on level four and I wanted to rip my monitor from it's stand and crush my skull with it. I went back to the earlier levels, gold-whored everything up to level 3. And it was still impossible.
This game has potential, but please. You MUST revise it so that you can use the arrow keys to move - it's bad enough we have to move along a set track. But you cannot, CANNOT, dodge fire and shoot with one control at the same time. Let us move with arrows, and shoot with mouse.
Author's Response:
Dodging and firing is possible, but it definitely requires some skill (to get really good at this game, you need to practice). The AI uses the exact same movement methods that you can.
