very good tutorial.

only problem is that it didn't have what i was looking for.
btw, what i was looking for was how to, in actionscript, be able to name something.
like, say in the game, you typed in something (e.g. spaceman) and then that will appear in a different frame (e.g. hello spaceman!) how do i do it?

man this is a realy good tut. its perfect at explaining exactly what i needed unlike some tuts made by 40 ppl that just put a title then throw a bunch of code at you and expect you to get it

the tut has great information and stuff but, im terrible at this stuff and wish i had a live person with me to show me how to do these things...sigh. sooner or later ill get a game working i hope ='(

This is like the best tutorial I've seen about Flash games on the Internet! The other tuts are hard to understand, but this, is really helpful! Now I can learn actionscript as well as learning to make various games. Thank you! You guys pwn!
