"It was a sick idea"

date: April 23, 2008

But could have been executed better, the skip buttons and all that stuff was already mentioned, also i think more parodies would have been welcome than the couple i noticed were just brushes in photoshop with a cool font hahaha.

totally should do another, and hit me up to do an album cover.

"Nice!"

Great parodies of CD covers! The art is really good. You should add some buttons, like pause and play, and You should also have one screen were you could scroll through every CD :)

"well done"

date: March 31, 2008

i have seen more than my share of record sleeves, cassette tape covers and cd covers. the most memorable one is of an album by plastikman (richie hawtin) titled "sheet one". it was made to look like blotter paper for acid. perforations and all!!

"Good stuff."

by: Dew
date: February 21, 2008

Although the idea itself wasn't that bad, the overall performance of the submission fell slightly short. It would have been nice to see certain cd covers again, by hand instead of actually going in and having to scroll through, or worse yet, watch through the submission, but the cd stuff was done well for the most part. Nice art, good work.

^^Good Points^^
Mostly this was good for a few quick laughs, as some of the covers, like the KISS and 50-cent ones were pretty funny. The art in some of these was pretty good and looked kind of professionally done.

^^Needs Improving^^
I don't like the scrolling idea. I would like to view some for shorter than others, or perhaps choose by band/genre would be nice.

"feeling underwhelmed"

by: Bezman
date: April 5, 2007

All the buttons were terrible. Design your hit frame better. Rectangles tend to work well.

The 'topic' link itself didn't work.

Th idea was mildly amusing and had good potential for diversity.

'I ain't a queer' made me smile, as did 'We're not very good', 'you can touch this', 'We're getting too old for this'.

A few of the pics were really impressive - something that wouldn't look out of place on a record store. The Vivaldi CD, the Man's Volta, the Massive Attack CD and the ? one (with the panda) were all cool.

I felt the majority of the pieces were a bit 'enh' - always a risk with a collab. You maybe could have exercised a bit more stringent 'qualification criteria'.

The way everything moved wasn't too great - I would've preferred it had we sorta moved rapidly from one CD to the next, but holding each cover 'in frame' for longer to get a better view.

Interesting idea, but I didn't really feel it was pulled off nearly as well as it might have been. With a lot of the entries a bit short on either aesthetics or humour, I found myself feeling underwhelmed by the end.

"Quite good collab!"

by: Abs55
date: April 5, 2007

This was a cool collab. It is very nice to see the different types of styles from different artists. They were moving at a good speed so I had a chance to have a good look at them. But, some of them were more in depth so if you added a pause/play button, I could have looked at them better.

But overall, a very nice collab with many different styles.
