This was a very good piece of work , for a first flash. The animation gave me a kind of Dave Firth feel, if only you still had your tablet, that would of made this animation even better. The only thing i can criticize is the voices, they lacked emotion and variety. It was a very interesting piece to watch and i am very suprised you did not at least get front page.

Thanks very much - any comparison to Dave Firth's work is a huge compliment. I agree that the tablet would have improved my work and definitely my workflow. Through using a mouse I learnt to reuse symbols and minimise repeated drawings which is a skill I guess will help me in future submissions.

I wrote the script and made everything up as I went along so the voices weren't really planned and I can see how they lacked emotion.

I'm pleased that you found it visually interesting, though I never really expected it to get frontpage.

that was a very nice animation.... especially the graphics... they were excellent. the animation itself was very nice too. i really really liked this one, i really hope that this one wins an award.

"Very impressive!"

Your artwork is phenominal! I envy you for that. The only things I would improve on is the timing and the duration of the movie. In the beginning, the night-time desert scene went by pretty long and I was very close to closing this and watching some other movie. Just speed things up a tad. As for duration, the movie would've been all out amazing if it were say, twice that length. But I can see that you put most of the effort into the graphics, so you've got a decent excuse. Keep on at it and you'll have a top 50 in no time buddy!

Thanks very much. This is in my eyes the most positive response I've got.

I'm definitely going to at least double the length and have some cool London city scenes. I've a whole story planned out.

I'm not used to editing animations within Flash and I found it a bit confusing it being my first animation and all. I think this is why the timing and the pace suffered the most. I'll try and resolve it for the next release.

"Almost......"

Hum I was thinking when the plane landed omg this is almost flawless and with that I mean frontpage material but then it says to be continued.
Now there didnt happen much this movie up to that time...
So perhaps this is gonna be a really cool serie or a funny one or just a giant story u have planned but I dont even know what way this story is headed. So therefore the low score.
And why is he called boy? He dresses even better than i :P

thanks and I do see what you mean. It just took so long to animate any sort of progression. I was planning for a lot more to happen.

I dunno why I called him Cactus Boy. Hmm. Maybe 'Cactus Man' is more appropriate.

"Nice"

It was a nice flash, good graphics and such, but you may want to ether lower the music volume or increase the speech volume (I had trouble hearing what the narrator said in the beginning.)

Also, you seemed to have a rather long period were nothing happened. (With the wind blowing)

I wanted to set the scene at the beginning with the wind blowing. I see what you mean about it being a bit lengthy though. I'll give it a trim methinks.

I'm going to sort out the sound levels too, I should of done that before submitting.

I drew the graphics soo much I started to doubt whether they were any good after a while. Thanks for the reassurance.

"Amazing work"

Great work with the graphics. One of the best I've seeen, especially with the plane bit. No point to it really, but still very well done!

Thanks, it was all drawn with a mouse. I kinda did have a point to it, but underestimated how long it would take to do it. I think I'll complete the whole thing as a whole animation then resubmit it. I just started to grow bored of redrawing everything.
