"@@Spoiler Alert@@"

I DAMN LOVE THIS. Very, very, very well done. I hope you make more. This needs a save game feature though. To quit back to the main menu from inside a level, press ESC (I only figured this out just now)

Anyway, here are some tips you might like on the various levels.
LEVEL 1. After you climb the cliff, go right down into very bottom of the valley. and there is a larva. Pick it up and stick it to your head before you leave.
LEVEL 2. Beyond the cliff there are a bunch of rocks hanging in midair that you can climb. At the top of one of them, there's a green switch you should press. At the top of the other one there is a blue fly. You should catch that fly--the best way is to spin webs all over the place (pick up a foot, press ctrl, stick the foot to a surface, then move and the web will follow you. To stop making web, hold space and move a foot over the web to grab it. To cut the web away from your body press ctrl again). Then hold the fly in your mouth and fix a web to the ground, and you will float upwards--there is an island in the sky with a larva on it you should get. Grab your web to keep yourself from floating into the spikes.
LEVEL 3: String a web across the tunnel and chase the fly into it. Then pick up the fly and put him in the keyhole.
LEVEL 4: Just swim, stopping at a bubble when your air gets low. There is a larva you should pick up, and watch out for a falling boulder.
LEVEL 5: Go to the ceiling on the right and get your larva. Fight the bugs, but your main goal is to tear out their nest--just grab it and swing it back and forth until it breaks. If you can't break it, then don't bother (you don't have to). Hit the button and leave.
LEVEL 6: Get good at rapelling. This level is the most fun level. You don't have to rappel by the way to finish this--if you do it right you can swing from the underside of a platform onto the next one without using web. There is a hidden larva beyond the spikes above your starting position--to get there, and get back, you have to be clever with flying (catch a blue bug and do like in level 2, only it's harder). Also, if you leave your egg sac behind (you can stick it to some web so it won't fall) you can climb all over the huge pink monster at the left, which is kind of cool.
LEVEL 7: Just some flies to catch and keys to insert. To get past the first part, grab the dangling bit of flesh and swing it until it turns red. Two things should be noted: the green thing that's made up of a bunch of cells and is floating in the pond is useless, but be sure you do not eat it (poison). The exit is inside the notch of the sideways Y-shaped rock formation in the last chamber--toss your egg sac in, then follow behind.
LEVEL 8: There are some more fleshy dangling things, which will open a door in the center. But before you pull on them, string a web across that door--two larva will fall out when the door opens and the web will catch them. Don't fall into the acid below. It may be better to leave your egg sac behind on a web here before you go into the final chamber, where you will have to fight some more flies. To rip out the heart, grab the three red nodules on the arteries leading into it, and rip those out one at a time. Be careful that the heart doesn't fall on you.

"Great game"

date: November 4, 2006

I usually just browse this site but GOD THIS ROCKS. The physics are awesome, the way you can gain momentum and the way the flying eyes try to smash you in to spikes and rocks had me on the floor, and when I heard the angry roar I just died laughing. This the the best, most addictive game I have ever played and the web system allows you to make it more homely and trap things like a real spider, along with eating things and holding them in your mouth to add to the humor and the little eye expressions are so cute. I saw a review earlier saying they dont know how to use the webbing system, it is a little complicated but once you know how to do it you spend a few hours on every level trapping things and making patterns. But like an earlier review I think linking a web to a web would be more efficient, the only reason I gave this game a nine is "10" means perfect. I can't see anything wrong here, but, who knows tomorrow I could find something better.

Keep up the good work. Best flash game I have ever played!

"It's different."

This game was very creative and clever. The animation was awesome, great use of colors and the character looked really good! Once again, a very nice style to this flash. I have never seen a game like this before. The game play was alright but I found it got boring at times. Still, I had some fun this. The music was amazing, it fit very well and I just liked how it sounded. Nice job on this game, keep up the great work guys!

"Great!"

I really like this game because it showcases the struggle of survival. It's almost heartbreaking every time the creature goes uphill attempting to advance its species. The music really amplifies this effect.

"very gishy"

date: November 4, 2006

i was just about to say that this reminds me of gish, and then i realized that you were a maker of gish, well, i have gish, and i would definately by this game as a seperate program. It is really beautiful and innovative, however it feels really contrained by the limitations of flash.

Gish remains one of my favorite games of all time, but if you could pull this one off i think it oculd top it.

"Awsome Idea, and good execution!"

date: November 4, 2006

How often does that happen? I've only gotten to the level where you are swallowed -(save feature plz!), but I'm addicted to it.
Yes, there are problems, but nothing that bad when you consider the uniqueness.
The controls are clumbsy, but I'm not sure how to fix it. If you gave his feet more momentum, you could walk faster by 'throwing' his feet and doing a cart wheel. I try this, and it works sometimes, but other times the feet stop moving as soon as I release the mouse.
I have no idea how difficult this would be, but attatching web to web would give it a whole nother level to it.
The instructions could be a little more clear, not for movement, but for things like, "don't stretch to far really fast or you will get hurt", or saying what those blue bird things are for in the floating island level.
Someone said that the -adws- keys were useless. Well, I found them immensly helpfull, and also really awful. Very usefull for swinging or reaching far away, but even clumbsier and less consistant than the main controls.
So either they need to be removed if it will make the game smoother, or preferably, refined for better handleing.

All in all this is an amazing game, and I could see this as a RETAIL game if it was improved somewhat. Seriously, I'd pay to have this on the gameboy if there were enough levels.

Please add a save feature, and if at all possible, a sequal. I can see this as another 'Alein Homonid".
Great game!

"This is the best game of all time"

date: November 4, 2006

Just... the interactivity was great. I never expected this much from a flash game. You two should definitely remain as a team. I never did find out how to use the web thing, but everything was just great. Awesome job. Plus, this really shows how you get alot less votes and views by not being front-page featured. Good job! I'll be waiting patiently for the sequel. Yeah. Sequel.

"You make a sequal, or die!!!"

date: November 4, 2006

that was just amazing!!!

I love this game! I have never played anything like it!

few things though that would be nice to see in the sequal.

the dood, he could do with being a bit stiffer. He jsut flops araound all the time, and it gets kind of iritating when he just will not stop flapping like a spastic.

the webs! Just amazing this was! there are times though when the game fixes it down in the wrong place, it dose not spoil that game, but it looks a bit odd when u have a point of the web that is not stuck anything but thin air!
It would also be realy cool if you could stick the web to the web, thus letting you play around a lot more with it.
may be have the abilatiy to shoot the web out, so that you can then swing across gaps.
And if you do do that, then have the web only get longer when you hold down a key, so you can drop down with much more grace

some sort of primative level diseign would be fun, so that you can set out an area to play in, or maybe just have some free paly levels. this will also help people get to grips with the controls, which are jsut awsome once you get used to them.

I feel that the wasd keys dont play the much of a feture in the game, so if it would help performance to get rid of them, i dont think they will be missed.

you definutly have to do a save feture, my broswer crashed jsut as i go to the level where you have to swing acros the gaps, which was not fun!

as far as i am concerned, there is nothing wrong with this game, just things that could be added in to make it that little bit better.

well done!

"Great but lacking"

date: November 4, 2006

Great game, awesome concept. Its a bit hard to get the controls at first, but then once you do its a great game. I agree that it should have a save feature. Thats about all it lacks really. The music goes well with the game. I can honestly see myself playing this game a lot lol. Keep up the good work ^^
