A SSBM collab that uses sevral sprites i've seen in my life. Oh and ignore the idiot who said that sprite animations are old sure they have been around for like 6 years but seriously WHO CARES!? Anyway nice job. They should proberly make a super smash bros paradies section.

Ok, Im sick of this stuff, it was ok at first, "oh look it's mario, luigi, etc."
but since then, theres at least twenty sprite movies submitted daily, involving the same content and characters. It's been over used, and no one wants to see it other than clock crew fan boy's and lazy animators. So my advice to you is to start working on some fbf and submit, original content. And don't start this "you don't know what your talking about" crap or the standard "you don't even have a submition!" because I'm still working on mastering fbf before I sumbit jack. I'm sorry if this has been mean, but, I just see so many sprite movies and I can't take it any more.

Remember only you can prevent sprite movies.

fisrt off, i am a big fan of sprites, and i am a fan of ssbm. (but i havnt player it in a while scince my memory card was recently formated and i have to start over, im way to lazy to do all that again ;). i liked the one that hoeloe did the best, it had the highest quality and definatly earned its score of 9/10,(i personaly score some movies, so dont blame me because im a loser) good job all those who worked hard to make this!

Look guys I was expecting so GRADE A Stuff but this was just plan bad, instead of sprites try artwork becuase the ripped sprites for some characters or yet all characters are horrble ok try harder next time and theres no blood on melee thats what makes it cool

First time I heard about this collaboration I thought I should submit something, something grand like Captain Falcon beating up the transvestite Sheik, but then I heard it was just a sprite collab which is not my bag. Sprite flashes require the same commitment as a flash animated through vectors and although they take substantially less time they are still difficult to get right.

For starters the sprites in this flash were far too blocky, they should have been smooth like Bowser on the loading screen, and the characters could have interacted with the backgrounds a lot more. It felt like I was watching a Smash Bros. game on the NES. Sprite flashes can look very crisp these days, but it's more than tweening the sprites around. Sprites aren't the lazy-man solution to vector animation.

lots of difrent battles to choose from. i saw this collab in flash forums. i was aculy thinking of making a ssbm flash myself but that will be in the future. i liked some of the humor in the flash. good collab

-BAD-
i thought i read in the collab info that you didn't have to use sprites, oh well every1 used sprites.

-OVERALL-
good collab but it would be nice to not see all sprites

A SSBM collab one week before Super Sprite Brother Collab 2 XD.

anyway, heres my review :

As a sprite user myself, I know you guys will be able to do much better in no time. But for what I saw, it wasnt great. not at all.

Most sprites were jumpy, badly tweened and stuff. Some battle repeated and blah blah blah.

As for the sounds, that music from Super mario RPG. probably not the best choice for a SSBM collab, but its a nice music.

And could you reply with the Frame Rate? it could probably be why everything was messed up.

( I would reccomend a FPS of 30 )

The menu, the BG is only a bitmap image, sadly.

A SSBM collab. was a great idea and some of the best use of sprites I've ever seen. All of you did a really good job on putting this together. Great Job!!
