...Are you moving him with the Directional Arrowheads? That's not very straight forward, but I think your problem is following directions.

Brilliant. every bit of it was informative and helpful. the movement part was the best, but the battling thing was really good. perhaps another tutorial could be about weaponry and an inventory system, something to add on to this. overall, 10/10.

A very nice tutorial you have made here. This was very helpful to me as I am currently making an RPG for a class. (The teacher teaches nothing so I have to learn all of the coding myself.) I've gotten the most of battle, HP, MP(AP in my game), and the game over coding down thanks to you. Now all I need is to find a tutorial on how to make a shop and a random map/battle and I'll be set. Thanks again, and I give you 5 out of 5.

Very good tutiroal, but i think people don't follow it, because everybody want to make a discrete game. But its very good, it give very good ideas, and the characters are funy :)

"These tutorials are no good"

I dont like these kind of tutorials where you write the code and some random amateurs go and just copy it. They dont learn anything! They dont understand how the code works! They cant be creative with their game because they cant write their own codes. RPG game is a big project. This kind of tutorial will tell people how to create 3% of the game code but they dont know what to do then.

I prefer people learning their own ways like i did. I dont want to create a game where is code i dont understand.

I dont like these kind of people where you write the about what you think and some random amateurs trying to make stuff based off of MY HELP. So what if they go and copy it. They're happy. These kind of people like you dont learn anything! You dont understand how the world works! They cant be creative with their game because they cant write their own codes. But that doesn't mean they're going to give up. In fact, by copying code, these people DO learn things. Where do you think I started? Do you think I just bought flash one day and was a God at Action Script? An RPG game is a big project. But these people aren't interested in a big project, they're interested in wasting time. This kind of tutorial will tell people how to create 3% of the game code, AND THEN using what they know they can learn from that and expand. Really, this is more of a how to get started with AS tutorial then a how to make a game tutorial. I just put it in a fun way.

And yes, I did copy your response because people who use tutorials aren't creative. Right?
