"It doesn't really capture the Contra spirit, but.."

I liked it. I really liked it. It was hard, fun, with lots of bullets, but I don't know. It's not really that Contra. It's... I don't know. It doesn't feel like Contra. Maybe it's not hard enough, or I don't know. Maybe it's because of the controls ( without a NES controller it feels kinda dull ).
Don't get me wrong, you recreated it really good. It's just that the original is always better. :)

I had Contra 3 on my computer for a time, and it was awesome. This game is a good tribute to the original.

when i was 5 my grandma had a supernintendo and she ahd this game i would go to her house and play it i wanted to get it for myself but they didnt sell it!. this was around the year 2000 so obvously it wouldnt be sold. Hmmm though i dont remember the game being so hard when iw as 5 me and my freind kevin could go through this game without dieing well mybe thats cuz i was rlly badass back then but anyway u brought back memories

But the real experience is better. I remember when i was 7 and knew NOTHING about emulators, looking for SF on the comp. LEARN HOW TO USE EMULATORS!! (The system for the comp you download to play roms(games))

The game was quite frustrating when you had to continue.

But just like ironhide1, I love the custom controls. It's not only a perfect remake, but the fact that you replenish lives is cool. Great way to make up for no 2-player.
