The graphics are smooth as silk and the foundation is solid, but the gameplay needs some serious fine-tuning. Battling enemies is more frustrating than challenging; enemies that fire bullets always know where I am and constantly fire a nonstop stream of bullets, so I had to spend all my time searching for cover and occasionally getting off a shot, hoping that it hits the mark by blind luck. (Yes, I know I can shoot their bullets, but since they fire a lot faster than I can and they won't be destroyed unless I hit them just right, it's usually not worth the effort.) But even worse is the platform-jumping! Every platform seems to be either just out of reach unless I roll right up to the edge and jump at just the right moment, or lightly tap it so I don't bump into the low ceiling between the platforms.
