"Cool short flash movie"

I liked how the charcaters moved and the actual animation was pretty cool also. Got to ask one thing though, whats with the music??

I really like the emotion your flash gives! However, there's a few things I have to comment on:
-The music seemed fitting, but the song was certainly flawed. Someone said it was from "Samarai Shampoo" or something, but the singer kind of distracted me from the movie.
-The lack of sound effects was really painful. I understand you want to keep it silent for climactic tension, I agree with you there. But maybe it'd be cool to have some sword clings and a final stab sound effect? That'd really seal the deal.
-You art is really unique. I like the style. You could slow it down a little, and use more frames for each animation I guess. It almost reminds me of a flip-book. But in a movie-sense. I liked it.
-The window was pretty small.
-I didn't like how the white/paper background would disappear and reveal that stone grey texture every now and then. Kind of distracted me.
-A little storyline might be nice. Unless you just neglected that because it's a test.

My review seems harsh, but I'm too lazy to put all the good things :). It really was a great flash. But I just threw out some things that might make it a great flash movie. It has potential! Keep it up.

fabulous anmiation skills, like you said, you were testing your style and it was good to do that. my only problem is that i dont like how compressed the plot of your short story, even though i understand it wasn't your intention to make a fanciful plot as much as making an interesting visual style.

in our photo school, we are taught that the best way to discover your style is to let it come naturally. dont try to force a style... just keep making and honing your art of storytelling. you have obvious talent here... i hope you dont waste it on short simple fighting shorts that just seem like visual masturbation. i think we've all seen enough of that kind of genre where there's just nothing in the short but fighting. your style will show itself, please do make another short with more thought into captivating the audience more through conceptual means, rather than visual means which you have already accomplished.

This was a really nice flash. The song, as said, was very fitting and I liked the simplicity of it, though I feel you could have tied in the text more smoothly with the scenes, without really losing the feel of the story.

Looking at it, it really has potential, so I hope to see more from you. ^^

P.S - I've heard this song from Samurai Champloo, but I'm unaware of the song title. If possible, I'd appreciate the name.

I liked that it had a running storyline and such. But because of that, I know nothing of the character's attitudes, the kingdom they are fighting to rule, or anything else.
Nice fight scene though. Judging for the character drawings, the "bad" guy won? :P
I only say because one had a rough face and the other had a more calm face. But I am just jumping to conclusions.
Again, it was average to me.
