"Add a mustache, and you have Poe."

Gotta say, I absolutely loved this flash. It played off the tortured thoughts and emotions of a grieved poet. Based on the story here, though, I'm thinking this really has to do with Edgar Allen Poe. Towards the end of his life, Poe married his MUCH younger second cousin, but she died of illness several years after. Many say Poe agonized over her death afterwards, and may have based several female characters after her in his stories and poems. Because it was a bit of a sin for Poe to marry his "cousin" and yet he still probably felt for her sexually, i see that in the "devil girl" here in the flash. Because she was still basically a child when he married her, I see that when the "devil girl" transitions into the little girl form. When the woman is presented as an angel, that is symbolic of Poe's real love for his cousin. Because it was such a messed up relationship, it was doomed to die, hence the main character attempting to rape the angel form of the woman.
In short, a lot of symbolic stuff going on here, but meaningful when you look at the life of Poe.
