"Good actionscript tutorial"

This is a good tutorial flash about actionscripts. There are TONS of information about actionscripts to read. Maybe SOOOOO many pages to read through this tutorial, but it's good since the reader will read more information about how to use actionscript. :) I know a little bit about actionscript, but only the basic stuff on flash such as play, stop and those sort of things. If I ever want to use more actionscript on a flash I would work on, I should check back here. Nice work.

One of the best tutorials, but I got one problem.
Every time I make an enterFrame action it does'nt work beacuse of this error:

**Error** Symbol=Symbol 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Line 1: Clip events are permitted only for movie clip instances
onClipEvent ( enterFrame ) {

What's wrong? Thx for HELP.

This is a very good tutorial, and as far as I know it's the best one on AS in Newgrounds. It goes from basic to fairly complex actionscript thoroughly, and the interface is simple yet stylish. Nice work here.

I saw the definite effort put into this tutorial, your information was vwery spot on and accurate, and you also explained it very well, It helps people reach the pinnacle of mx 2004 variables in a matter of a few weeks.

The graphics and music were really crap though, you made a bad choice with the songs and the interface was not too well designed
either.

You still came out of your way to make a good tutorial, It is no ultimate tutorial 2, but it's still very good for programmers in training.

I really cannot thank you enough!!! I have been (hardcore) actionscripting for two years, since I was about 12, and Flashing for 5, working things out for myself, and what do you do? YOU COME ALONG WITH A TUTORIAL THAT SHOWS ME HOW TO DO THINGS I NEVER KNEW EXISTED!! Mate, this tutorial is the best fucking Actionscript tutorial i have ever seen, and you deserve a pat on the back. It's actionscripting that's allowing me to do my A Level Computing at this age. Thanks, but it took me a while to figure out arrays ^_^

PROS

--Teaches whats in the code, not just copy and past
--Nice music if you want it (though I'm someone who cant concentrate with it)
--From beginner to expert (over three years worth for my standard!)
--Easy navigation and menu
--Hundreds of pages of useful information

CONS

--What I took two years to learn before, would only take a week with this. Kinda makes me feel sick :S
--Just too damn good ;)

Without a doubt the best AS tutorial i have ever seen, it helped me so much. A little confusing but i think thats just cause i suck at flash. But it really did help me alot.
