... for a wile, but then it just seemed to repeat itself and the only differance between Level 1 and Level 5 is just the speed. also the controls for the keyboard wer kinda sloppy, for example when i go right and then take my finger off the keyboard, the mouse still moves a bitthus making it harder for me to keep control. the 2 player thing wasnt a bad idea thoug and the defance seemed kinda point less after level 2

---- I strongly felt that the difficulty gradient was too shallow. As I so often find (with online games), 90% of the time was spent getting to a point where the game became interesting.

-- Interpolating one or 2 steps in the 'defence' mode would have been nice. (i.e. hitTest for 1 or 2 extra points between the previous frames _x/_ymouse and this frame's.) As it is, I often felt I should have picked up some balls.

--- In survival mode, the power-ups meant that sometimes death felt a bit unfair. Not entirely my fault.

++ Lots of modes

+ recognisable/sensible symbols used for power up/downs.

If it was the survival mode and it just got speedier at a faster rate, I would have preferred that a lot.

To be honest, I see no reason to raise the speed in 'steps'. Why not in a gradual shift?

As it is, maybe you could have considered the 'Game & Watch Gallery-style' difficulty curve - the speed raising quickly, then dropping to slightly above its original speed each time the level is increased.

It's basically just a seperation of the 2 elements seen in games such as Gavin Shapiro's 'Squares'. Fair enough, you've presented them in your own way. But I think a little more work was necessary to make this truly fun.

Nice to see different ways of playing the game (even 2-player). Good learning curve too. The ball could do with being a little more responsive (v. minor niggle - it's nearly pefect as is), and it would be helpful if there was a little more warning before the level changed - flashing the background colour, maybe? Also, I must admit the music was switched off right away - Probably just my taste....
Great game all round though.

Very good game.
Good Graphics and style.
sound is simple and works for this kind of game.
You can't get much more interactive than avoiding barriers with different attributes changing your ball around.
Love the effects, good music.

It's a good idea, well initially it was, but there are other games that have the same survival mode style as this game, and they did it much better. The ability to use the keyboard is a plus, but is not as effective as it should be-- the ball should move faster with the keyboard.

Defence mode could've been done a little better. Maybe some powerups could've been placed in like the survival mode.

I don't think that I've seen a 2-player mode for such a game before, but I just don't see TOO much entertainment value in it.

As for the sound, even though I liked the techno loop, it starts to get a little annoying, especially with the fact that the end doesn't match the beginning 100%, which also makes the ending of the "song" very noticeable.

Keep up the good work, but try a little bit harder with future flash games.

"Fun but has some problems..."

This is a fun game, particularly the two player mode. However it does have some problems that let it down.

The first problem is in defence mode. Some of the bubbles do not pop when you move your mouse over them, which is fustrating. Also, the mouse movement is slow like your moving it through mud (It isn't my computer slowing it down as I have top end specs).

The other problem is in survival mode. Sometimes you will encounter a line of bars that is either extremely difficult (Unless you have the reactions of superman) or impossible to pass, and I am pretty sure it is not a lack of skill that is the problem with it. The problem appears to be the open sections are located at opposite ends to each other and the movement of the ball in the space it is given between the two bars is not enough.

Aside from this, a nice game.
