"awesome."

by: Esayex
date: December 26, 2005

I love this. It's awesome when a flash movie doesn't make you laugh, but think instead. hehe...i may go draw comic bunnies now :P jk.

But you've really got talent (could you spare some? :P) and the message of the movie was interesting. Awesome jab, man.

i can't believe i've never seen your flash before. i love your work, and i wish i could meet you. this was one of the few recent flash pieces that didn't irritate me. i have to watch this again to really absorb it. many more times. this piece really reminded me of SMILE! i'm gonna watch this and your other stuff now.... i love how u made the fire glowing on the bottom of the flower-drawer's stake.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Although I think if you met me you'd be surprised at how large hairy and boring I am.

Do you have to reply to every comment? Anyways AMAZING. It's the only movie here that made me sad. How did you come up with this flash?

Author's Response:

Its a concept I had in my head. I've always been a bit ticked whenever I see a fantastic animator whom noone knows about. Then I found out about a contest that was using a theme that fit my concept. So I went ahead and scribbled out some drawings and got to work.
I really wanted to make something that could strike a pose without making much of a point. Judging by the variety of reviews I have succeeded. :D

"Thank you!!"

date: December 25, 2005

Thank you for delivering such a great message. I'm an artist who's work doesn't get recognised and it makes me sick when talentless artists get so much of a fanbase and leaves us in their shadows.
Whether it be animation, sculpture, pencil or digital drawings, there are people out there with enough talent to blow you away. It's a shame that this amount of talent gets ignored most of the time and that most of the crap gets recognised because it considered 'cool'.
I'm very happy with your work. It's certainly touched me. Good luck with future projects, fellow artist!

Leeroy.

"Ah, the truth of it all..."

Last time, fads were good and all right, like Hello Kitty. People say it's lame, and girly, whatever, but she was always meant to just be a mouthless ambassador of peacful living.

Nowadays, you got to use the word 'fuck' in something just to get people to read it. Pathetic, and desperate for some kind of indication there's other stupid people out there just like them.

Anyway, the meaning in your animation hits dead-on, nicely done, and very sad. Perhaps a creepier thing is, given that rabbit was a real marketing character in real life, I CAN see MYSELF buying a keychain or such from it I_i How sad is that? I've become infiltrated by such base things myself, and am doomed...

Well that was neat, this should probably teach people that art can't be shared with the masses, or at least shouldn't be expected to be picked up by the masses. masses are dumb and annoying anyway as they are constantly refilled with stupider folk because the topic becomes more accessible and popular. nice idea, one question, not implying anything: how did you keep yourself to the project? how often did you have to fight laziness? to me that's the most admirable thing: anyone can learn to animate and eventually learn to draw, and anyone can make up ideas as great as anything when they spend enough time in creating something and improving himself. But doing it is reserved for the persevering, how did you come to be so?

Author's Response:

I have a passion for animation.
Always have.
