I would add a charecter selection page, and also make a mode where you fight the computer.
I also think the controls are better for Player 2.

"Not bad but will need improvments"

date: December 6, 2005

this submission could use some improvments just add some new moves maybe a 3.2.1. be a fight and a better character select system. BGM's and this submission will fucking kick major ass!

"Not bad for 30%"

I think this could really work out if you can smooth its rough edges when you are finished, it certainly has a lot of potention, just don't let it fall down the crapper.

"Great potential in this 1 Buddy!"

I am a big SSB fan and want to help you out with some "tips" and things to fix in the game.
1. Try to make more simple moves like punches and kicks. Although it may be hard to find some of the sprites.
2. Make it fancier amd have less things in levels that try and kill you.
3. I noticed that if you go off the side, you just end up on the other side instead of dying. You should make it like the SSB games and make characters deaths the same. Also, try to get on of the games and use the voices from it for moves. It would make it sound much better.
4. For the characters, make it like the SSBM screen and have a little hand that helps you choose your character. Make sure to have atleast 4 secret characters. And around 6 - 8 starting characters if you can.( Put diddy kong in the game! he could be awesome )
5. Like i said, play Super Smash Bros Melee and look at all the features and choose the ones you like, and the ones that are necessary. Make sure to use Classic Mode! It is the main single player part.
6. Make levels larger!
7. Make changable costumes man! It isnt to hard if you just mess with the sprites a little. It always gives you a little more choice.
8. ITEMS!!!! Where are the items man? Get as many items as you can and put em in there! Trust me, it adds twists to the game.
9. For movement, you need a left and right dodge move! Something to evade attacks. AND you need a sheild. But dont make it too strong or too weak otherwise it is pointless.
10. Last but not least, Dignify what are special moves and what aren't man! One button for simple attacks. And another for special attacks. Also, i noticed that marios high jump attack move was down and ( which ever player you are button ). It felt a little awkward,
Anyways, i would definitely continue on this game because you could make it awesome!

This is a very nice start in a daring attempt at recreating the classic concept of pitting the Nintendo characters in a all-out melee. I look forward to future installments...

There were some people talking awhile back about how it would be a good idea to make a Flash game with sprites as SSB characters. I'm glad someone took up the challenge! Nice idea. I do think that some of the sounds were a bit off. (Mario sounds for Link's arrows, for instance, aren't great.) Also, a two-player mode would be awesome if you could craft an AI for it, although that could be understandably difficult. The graphics were about what I would have expected and wanted for a sprite game like this, and the controls were simple enough to be learned quickly. Overall, nice job! I hope to see some further development of this!

You did a good job and I think you should continue. And also what is the action script for your attack. I mean when I program my games You have to hold the key down to play the animation. If you could tell me that I would be very grateful.
