Not because it was sad, im immune to that teary eye stuff, but because i thought that something was going to jump out, or it wasing going to do a salad fingers and twitch violently all of a sudden, but it turned out it didnt.

I liked it, but it didnt really appeal all that much to me. I can see why so many NG veiwers would like it, because their all a bunch of cry babys who cant wait to pour out their soul all over submissions like this.. Or could it be that they just have a heart? Who knows... not me...

It is definately front page material, but i dont think it should of gone so high up in the top 50...

Ho hum, oh well. Nice work anyway, try to make an upbeat one next time.. Oh or not, because you probably wouldnt get such a good rating. In that case, make one with linkin park "numb" in the background, surely then you would get a straight 5.00 in votes, bwhahaha...

"Are you related to Roald Dahl?"

Congratulations, you fused animation with story, and it worked out really wel indeed!

This submission has class and penetrates you with the same feeling when you first read a Roald Dahl story (atleast it did with me).

And thanks, for awnsering my E-mail i really was stuned (most of the authors don't write back). You really made my day.

Now let me explain the 9 for sound, because it is a story that is being told an was recorded i'm sure that it must have been a large file. For turning such a large file into such a small one, i can tell that you are advanced in that sort of thing (or am i wrong?).

Now follows a short line-up of explanations about some of the scores:

1. The grapics were good don't get me wrong, but there was little animation (movement). Now because it just fits with the story and the rest of the animation, you still got a 7 and you deserve it.

2. I found the style rather original because of the big eyes and the "noir" style, it really put life into the story.

3. Maybe i've said this before but i'm not giving away high violence points (don't be offended). But because the deamon ruined a whole town you deserve a 2 (but ofcourse that's just me and it is more of a meaning that an actual fact).

4. If i was you than i shouldn't make a sequal of this story and please let me explain that. Because this movie doesn't have the potential for a sequal, the style does. Look on the portal and you'll propably find 1 (maybe more) animations like this one. I'm not saying that you should quit with this one (that would be stupid) but make more story's! Believe me it could become a serie!

5. This animation really deserves third place on the portal for it is original and amazingly animated, my congrats to you for exicting!

"One redeeming feature..."

Look, it was gothic, cliched, boring and not the least bit scary. But the narration was excellent, it almost sounded professional. In fact it almost made the inane story seem interesting... but not quite. You did a good job, but it was definately the wrong one. This was not quite as bad as Lilium, but it came close. Make something that will appeal to more than just the dedicated goth set. And for God's sake, make it interesting.
