I think it could have ben a short series folowing up to it but still good.

Hahahah that's fucking right natural born killers. Without emotion, second thoughts or compassion all those people got owned. Hahah most of them were corpses before they hit the ground. They let a few bleed it out but most of the ownage was boom-head-shots. I've only seen two death in my life time, and wow theres not a better high. Shot to death and no ammount of pre-emptive crying could stop them from getting pop-popped. Yeah that V-tech kid did a little better though, i mean he snuffed like almost 4 times as many people. Hahahah lol forget that kungfu shit this asian knows the way of the cowboys. I'll have him beat. 10 to 1 says I'll get at least 5 more.

Wow, you guys really put in the time to investigate these things. That really impressed me. While I was watching the beginning part about how the two boys met and the way they were filming one another, all I could think of was how many times you must have had to watch those real home movies and how hard that must have been. The details really made it powerful.
Now, i don't know whether or not this was intentional, but I watch a lot of your guys' stuff and usually your art is sharper and cleaner, whereas this flash had more of a careless, scribbled look. I felt that it added a lot to the story, honestly, so please don't take that as a cut. I think it showed everything more from the boys' point of view, as if it all was fun and not a big deal at all.
I sis have one problem, though. I wanted to watch the flash before I read the author's comments, but when I went back to read them the flash wouldn't let me. It kept skipping right to the movie. Just wanted to let you know. If you could fix that, it' be great because I would really like to read those comments.

An amzing flash. Truly one of the best I've seen on here. But if I had been there and they had said that. I would have just said "I believe because I know that He is real." And I know some people who claim that they are Christian, but I can tell that by their actions they aren't. I'm just like any other teen guy. I act perverted. I make jokes. It's the fact though that if I need to be open and serious about it, I stop. I talk. I'm gettin angry talkin about I'm sorry guys. Awesome flash. Great job. 10/10

Humnf. Well, without my *personal* beliefs getting in the way of this review, it was... an amazing peice of art, to say the least. I loved the colors and representation of the environment, as well as the animations themselves. Beautiful. Also, the umm, what do you call it... The, you know, the voice projection/over, I suppose, but all of the voices were great, I mean, all clear and nice. Jeeze, this is a great movie. 5/5 and a 10/10.
By the way, umm, I forget who exactly said that there was no amount of ridicule that could bring them to do this, but in lieu of that, I wish to reply that, One, you have no idea how badly they were beaten and picked on, and Two, the only people they had were each other. Now, I'm not sure about you, but if I was getting beaten up every day, being watched and made fun of by other students, I'd take a stand for myself. They just did it in an alternative fashion. Not insinuating that it was the *right* thing to do, just that it should have been... predicted. Now, having said that, I wasn't there and therefore can't really argue these things, but I will tell you this, I am the "odd one out" at my school, and hell, I'm gonna be honest with you, I've taken a good beating or two. I wouldn't kill anyone, please understand, but I would take a stand for myself if I knew I could. But, looking at it, I can't. Its hard to take a stand when theres no one there for you. These guys found each other, and I respect that. But like I said, it was an alternate form of getting even. People need to understand that they need to help out the guy cowering in the corner ever so often. Maybe, in the future, we can prevent things like this from ever happening again if we just treat others like we want to be treated.

This is alot like Elephant. It has the same style shots of people walking/running from the back, the use of an m16, one of the shooters named "Alex", the same sense of something missing in the scenes, the shooting taking place in autumn(hense the name "Autumn Tree"), the constant theme of leaves and trees, and Christian saying 'bitch' after he shoots the teacher. And yes, much of it was original or based on actual fact. Such as the "do you believe in god?" conversation in the library, the shooters videotaping eachother, the use of a shotgun, the kid spared outside the school, the girl[presumably] killed outside the school, ect.
Even with the large inspiration from Elephant, this is by far the most accurrate representation of what happened on April 20th 1999 and the most artisticly driven. With the constant feeling like a chill of something about to go down and the portrayal of a quiet suburban life about to explode in chaos and bloodshed, Autumn Tree brings light to a terrorizing event that left millions asking the question "Why?". Though AT doesnt try to answer the question, it tries harder to ask the question, and that it one of the best things about this animation.
Great message.
Top notch animation.
Good sound.
The only con might be the number of things borrowed from Elephant, making AT not a completely original idea. -1 point for that.
All in all, a 9/10 & 5/5. I hope to see more animations like this one in the future from you.
