"Oh no..."

date: October 31, 2009

Wow... The amount of misinformation and myth in this video is overwhelming. The fact that it was made in 2005 also gives the user NO EXCUSE for not getting their facts straight. If you found this video to be sad and/or touching, please do not take offense to what I have to say. The reason I hate this video is not because the story here isn't touching- I hate it because this particular story never happened. I think (actually, I'm 99% certain) that the creator of this video thought that the movie "Elephant" was a recreation of Columbine. It most definately wasn't. Although it references Columbine in some places, (for instance, one of the boys who most closely resembles Eric carries a Tech 9, as Eric did) it is not AT ALL supposed to be based on the Columbine shooting. To emphasize this, the highschool shooters in Elephant are faggots, and lovers to one another. Several lines are taken straight out of the movie where and when they happened. When the 2 kids run into their friend before the shooting begins and say "Shit's about to happen", and when the one kid shoots the teacher and says "Bitch". The real kid they met before the shooting, (by the way, in real life, they drove to school separately, where in the movie, they car pooled) was named Brooks Brown. He did in fact, actually ask why Eric was gone from math class, in real life. But Eric HATED Brooks he would have loved killing him. But the bombs had not yet been planted, and opening fire then would alarm everyone and ruin their meticulously planned attack. Eric told Brooks to "fuck off" because he hated him and didn't want him seeing the gear in his truck. Brooks left because his mother already knew Eric was a psycho, and Brooks had reason to agree. He never could've imagined what would happen soon. Still though, just to be safe, he left school grounds. Eric and Dylan also did not have fully automatic assault rifles. Fully automatic firearms are illegal to be owned by civilians, and the boys never had black market connections available to them through which they could procure these guns. They had several shotguns, and a semi-automatic Tech 9. Pipe bombs were also in their arsenal. The teacher being gunned down is also insulting on a massive scale. The teacher gunned down in the Columbine shooting was named David Sanders, and he was a hero. Countless students testify that he grouped, protected, and rescued them, repeatedly going back into the school to round up other children. He was eventually shot, after saving a huge number of kids. After being shot, he managed to escape to a closet and hide out there. Over a period of hours, he bled to death, being found in his last minutes of life. When his wife was told, she threw up. Now comes the unforgivable. The "Do you believe in God?" discussion. The bastard creator goes so far as to specify in the vdeo description "this is literally what was said. The sheer magnitude of ignorance in this man's (the video creator) brain is astonishing. He lacks any respect for you, the viewer, by spilling out offensively misinformed nonsense. The actual scene went something like this, and the girl was standing before them, not under a table. "Do you ACTUALLY believe in God?" "Yes." "Why?" And then, as soon as he had asked, the gunman put a bullet in her head at point blank range. (maybe he was afraid she would have something intelligent to say...) There was no bullshit response from her like the one in the video.
Also, Eric and Dylan killed indiscriminately. They targeted no social classes, genders, races, religions, etc. The whole "jocks" thing is a crock of shit.
They were never even bullied. They were just messed up in the head from day 1. This video is trash. If it were not intended to inform the audience of facts, it would be good. But it is intended to be accurate to it's subject matter, and it is absolutely horrible just how little attention the creator paid to his subject. This was pish. No excuses for any of this.

Ive watched it and still its gotta be the saddest and maybe even one of the best serious shorts Ive seen on new-grounds. In school i actually met Craig Scott a survivor from the library his sister was shot. He was a pretty awesome guy.
