"Dissappointing"

date: August 4, 2005

I had high hopes for this, but unfortunatly it doesnt compare to the original. There isnt nearly enough weapon variety, and it is pretty buggy. Also, I would like t play against AI once in a while, so try to integrate some kind of computer opponent. I fell in love with the original SE, but this seems like a dim reflection.

"Good, but it needs work"

I have some suggestions that could improve this game:

1) Make the color of the font that shows you how high up your shot is a more readable color. Currently, it's impossible to tell how high it is whenever it passes through the white part of any gauge.

2) Work on the teleport. Try to have it so that it teleports you a minimum distance. I tried using two of them in a row, and both times I landed within an inch of where I started.

3) Fix the win screen. After successfully blowing my other self up in 4 player mode, the game just continued. I also played in one-on-one mode, and when I finished there all the game did was display the message for a height bonus, and then lock up.

4) There seems to be a little problem with the boxes that scatter themselves across the playing field. I'm not entirely sure how, but some of them managed to get lodged deep underground after a few shots. You may want to look into this. Also, it wouldn't hurt to tell the players ahead of time what the boxes do. I manged to figure it out, but there are some people who are dumb.

As for weapon suggestions, you may want to try emulating things from the original Scorched Earth, such as shields and spreading bombs.

"Not Scorched Tanks at all"

date: August 4, 2005

This was just a lame-ass tank game. I've got Schorched Tanks for my Amiga 600 and trust me, this game comes nowhere close to the splendor of tank-war. The Amiga version is a buffed up version of the original but even the real one isnt close to as crappy as this. And wtf was the looping shots for? when they go outside screen, they STAY outside screen.

"glitch"

date: August 4, 2005

ok, i found a glitch. After i won, 2 player game, It said "extreme height bonus~!, then it would have 3 buttons under that, those little things that fall from the sky, then, it would let me click them, but, nothing happened, then after a couple minutes, it would replay the explosion, and the back button would come back. Fix it dude!

"Needs work"

date: August 4, 2005

I actually managed to pull of a direct hit at 800 power and ~60 angle, got 690000 pts out of it, pretty boring otherwise, needs to be... more.

"It was fun for a while"

date: August 4, 2005

I just hold space and kept my angle at 0, then see how high it would go (the power has no max)
