Only thing I think that could improve this maybe accelrating, drifting and braking noises. Apart from that, all my 5!

Author's Response:

this game is really addicting...as i am a real iD player myself...anyways..my time for easy:

149.5
cp1 - 49.8
cp2 - 49.7
cp3 - 50.0 <--slow!

my fastest cps are 49.1, 49.3, 49.5....which would equal 147.9...my friend has done 148.3, and his fastest cp i think is 49.6...and a 48 might be possible...XD

Author's Response:

hey, drop me an email and let me know what cars you guys used. i know which ones i prefer, but i wanna know what cars you used to get those times. i must admit, im not very good at my own game. my fastest time is right around 49.

"Lots and lots of fun."

date: July 9, 2005

It's not everyday I have so much fun with a NG game such as this one. Graphics are simple, yet effective and nicely done and suit the game well. It has pretty good drifting physics as well, so it makes it loads of fun. I'm too fond of how the car 'bounces' of the walls when you run into them, but it teaches you to stay off them. Listening to the same song over did become a bit boring after a while, but I guess too many songs would make the filesize too big. Anyway after a couple of hours of playing I got these times:

Easy track: Lap 1-51.0
Lap 2-50.5
Lap 3-51.0
Total: 152.5

Hard track: Lap 1-23.1
Lap 2-23.7
Lap 3-23.0
Total: 69.8

I'm looking forward to some sequals!

Author's Response:

wow. im glad you enjoyed it so much. there will be sequels as long as people continue not blamming them. theyre fun to make.

nice times as well.

"Excellent, Excellent Game."

I absolutely love this game, it's a great time waster. For all the people wondering about the song, it's "Heartbeat" by Nathalie, and it appears in First Stage Episode... 5, I believe, and in Arcade Stage Version 2, and it's a wonderful song, in my opinion. Keep up the good work, I'd love to see another game like this in the future.

P.S.: I don't think anyone's beaten this time yet on Gunmazaka:
Lap 1-50.4
Lap 2-51.5
Lap 3-50.8
Total-152.7

Author's Response:

thanks. great times, and thank you for confirming the music for me. i was actually sorta confused myself. hope you enjoy my future submissions.

"Good work my friend ;)"

date: July 8, 2005

Yes, this was nice piece of work may i ask:

Who is the music by?

Are you consider making tracks such as Akina, Irohazka etc etc from the Arcade Stage?

Author's Response:

i can never find reliable information about the eurobeat artists. as far as i can tell, its by someone called "nathalie". that isnt something that i want to advertise, since i dont trust that information.

and by the time im done, i plan to include a crude version of all the maps. story mode is coming soon.

It's about time someone made a decent Initial D flash game. Sorry I didn't get to see your original ID flash game.

"nicely done ^^"

date: July 7, 2005

I'm enjoying the game, its real nice =) well.. its not exactly like Initial D and the drifting is like, whoa, but its really one game that you can get stuck on if you do improve it =)

as for improvements, I'm willing to help ( as I'm a big fan of INitial D as well ) with the graphics.. for the cars I can see that you're doing fine, so maybe tracks and stuffs can be improved.. the spedometer as well with all the GUIs..

mail me if u're interested for a helping hand ^^

regards,
[crescie]

Author's Response:

hahah... im always interested in a little help. im trying to get someone to help me animate the story mode im working on. ive almost figured out a manual transmission, and if youre willing to draw out some of the tracks, im always willing to try to incorporate them where appropriate.

i think ill send you an email.

"Kinda fun"

date: July 5, 2005

It was fun, and I had just watch initial d as well.

Graphics could have been better, and needs more sound. And like what some people had said already, needs skid marks, more cars, tracks, and the roads need to be smaller instead of being so wide.

p.s.
My time was, on easy about 153 secs with the infini, about 51sec per lap, and on expert i got 70.7 sec with the Trueno, with 24, 23, and 22sec per lap..with a speed of 91. For some reason i never even use the breaks during the whole time i palyed this game.

Author's Response:

yeah. they arent needed ^^, theyre just a nifty feature. i can do the expert course full speed in the infini and the trueno. those are the best cars (the fc is really the best car in the game).

good times. thanks for reviewing.

"Its good but it dosen't give the Initial D feel .."

date: July 5, 2005

I've always been a fan of Initial D. I'm probably a tad biased in my view as I've grown so accoustomed to the Arcade Version.

... Tracks are a bit boring in Initial D. The whole point is to stimulate drift to cut corners at high speeds.

1) The car acceleration does not change while drifting when it should as the speed of the car should slow down.
2) The drifitng system dosen't use your brakes at all when it should, also a manual system would be nice to assist this.
3) I can't tell when I'm drifting or not due to lack of sound and skid marks.
4) Could use music options (I personally enjoy the Initial D music so would like more than one track but some might hate the dance music)
5) *It should feel as if I'm going downhill which in most cases the races in Initial D are*
6) The stats should be tweaked a bit
7) Hitting a wall should weaken your speed a bit not completly stop the car
8) As drifitng goes in the game it needs more harder drifts instead of normal U turns and the width of the road should be smaller to create small realism

All in all, I voted a 5 as the game shows definite potential. Good luck on improving it.

Author's Response:

well, it isnt yet perfect. its just a work in progress.

1. the car, if youll notice, does (in fact) lose speed when you drift. just look at the speedometer.
2. i cant figure out how to use applied brake drifting or a transmission, but im working on it.
3. sfx and skid marks are coming soon
4. im probably going to find suitable portal music in the future.
5. that is a problem i couldnt begin to solve. there is no mathematical equations for "feeling like youre going downhill"
6. i agree
7. stopping the car is the only way to prevent the player from going off the track and exploiting that to just keep hitting the finish line.
8. drawing courses = hell. draw me some, and i might just use them.

thanks for the score.
