I'm not sure if you were intentionally doing a dry, dull sort of voice but what could have been a laugh riot was merely a good chuckle. I would suggest reading the lines you have and then getting the opinions of several trusted friends. Make necessary adjustments from there.
As such it was decent and I'm glad you gave credit to the original post on Bash.
