"Positate without pizazz and jam!"

date: September 23, 2005

Totally awesome. Amazing. I usually judge animutations based on how funny the fake lyrics are, but this one had no fake lyrics, instead it had easily comprehensible English lyrics, yet it was so hilarious! That song is so catchy. Also, what is that "John Landrenau button" supposed to do and how many freakin' times do I have to click on it to make it work?

Author's Response:

Just like the real John Landreneau, the John Landreneau Button doesn't do anything except rock out. Also, it has come to my attention that something else now exists on NG with the word Stingray in it, and that it has a better rating than SotS. Voters, get to work!

Your really growing with each new one you make!! And I'm loving every one of them! ^_^ You deserve another cookie! This time its a magical one... created by the Keebler Elves... and crafted by Gods fifth hand. With the dough of an ox, the lamb of a lamb.. the Axe of an axe.... and downloaded by none other than Mr Cheese Pretzel Himself Dan Aykroyd.
Yes yes. This new cookie is rather.. un magical I guess... but hear hear! You will still enjoy it.
Keep making this marvelous movies you Magical Wizard you!
Hehe.. this theme song is great! Oh by the way.. I actually was at this book store and they were selling the entire series of Stingray! LOL

"A strange and magical journey"

date: July 18, 2005

As far as animutations go, that was one of the best I've seen in a long time. You've brought your own sense of style to the genre and now, thanks to you, I'll have that blasted Stingray theme stuck in my head for the next decade. You deserve a cookie.

Author's Response:

Yes! A cookie is mine!

"Amusing"

A good one! I guess you're animutation's next rising star, eh?

By the way, where might I find the original images of that delightful Chauncey fellow?

Author's Response:

He's a model for http://www.sillyjokes.co.uk/
a delightful site indeed. It's also where I found the strongman-moustache and the chest-wig.

"holy crap its 1950s style animutation"

date: May 28, 2005

like i said, holy crap its 1950s style animutation. "Stingray" is not only different from the others in that it has big band ENGLISH music, it uses characters never before seen in this genre. Chauncey does very well in multiple roles.

Author's Response:

People always think Sting of the Stingray is retro, but as for the decade being revived I've heard everything from the 50's to the 80's. People know that fractals and bright colors are out of fasion, but not for how long. Perhaps colorful things are easily remembered, and the beige things we see every day will all be forgotten.

"not bad"

date: May 24, 2005

it was an alright, random animation, but just lose the backgrounds spinning and jupming around the screen so fast. its a good idea, but since it was so fast, it made me a little dizzy.

"Wow"

date: May 19, 2005

This thing is even better than Mostly Metal Jacket; the graphics are funny, atmospheric, and downright hallucinogenic; the song is freaking awesome and completely unlike what is normally used in an animutation, or any flash music video for that manner; and in general this is just a big pile of freakin' awesome. I also liked the John Landreneau button, but it's not actually possible to get enough clicks to trigger a special event when you click the bunny at the end of the movie, is it? I stopped the movie to get in a couple extra minutes of clicking but it still wasn't enough, so am I correct in assuming that this is just a red herring?

Great stuff, I look forward to whatever's next. I'mma gonna fifen this every day just like Mostly Metal.

Author's Response:

Clicking on the John Landreneau Button is like helping the less fortunate; there'll be nothing to tell you that you've done enough.
