I have difficulty getting my character to move, jump, and charge at the same time. This makes the final boss quite aggravating. That, and the fact that you get good ranks by absorbing shots for 10 minutes, were my only problems with the game.

Bass is a hard boss. He attacks with medium beams, and fires a medium beam then a Super-beam after he's been damaged. He CAN damage you by contact which makes him a pain to dodge because he has a clear tendency to jump when you jump over him. =(
There's 2 strategies possible: either just keep up one polarity and blast him each time he tries to switch with a Super-beam. If you do so, Bass should stay mostly in the same polarity as you, switching only occasionally. The other one is more risky: it involves occasionally switching polarities yourself to get more shots at him, it allows you to down him quicker but it exposes you to more danger, also it will mess up his own shield pattern, making him change the shield more erratically.
Getting past the last level is also a pain. I recommend you skip the Mets on the platforms except the last Met for he bars your way, the rest of them can be skipped for you can climb without touching them. The Fan guys must be destroyed with the opposite polarity though. They can't be skipped.

i SUCKED THOROUGHLY AT THiS GAME, BUT i THOUGHT iT WAS DELiGHTFUL. i KEPT DYiNG, BUT AGAiN THAT iS MY LACK OF GAMiNG SKiLL. i COULD NOT GET THE PAST
THE FiRST LEVEL. NOOB, i KNOW. iT WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. THE ONLY REAL COMPLAiNT THAT i COULD DRUDGE UP, & THiS iS SEARCHiNG VERY DEEP, iS THAT
THE LiTTLE MUGSHOTS OF THE CHARACTERS WHEN THEY WERE TALKiNG WERE A TADBiT UNFiTTiNG. EVERYTHiNG ELSE iN THE GAME iS PROFESSiONAL & SLEEK, SO iTSEEMED A WEE BiT ODD THOSE PiCS DiD NOT HAVE THE SAME POLiSH. BUT THAT iSA MiNOR COMPLAiNT. & i LOVE THE POLARiTY THiNG. ADDS SO MUCH iNTEREST TOTHE GAME. iF THiS WERE A GBA OR DS TiTLE, i WOULD TOTALLY BUIY. iT JUST
FULES MY DESiRE TO DOWNLOAD MEGAMAN 9 FOR MY Wii EVEN MORE.

OVERALL, A DELiGHTFUL GAME. HOPEFULLY, SOON i CAN GET PAST THE FiRST
