"Scotsman bored..."

I went to Flint Public schools. I've lived in Detroit. I've heard and seen enough Black History to last me several lifetimes. I've never once heard of Scottish history being taught in public schools. The closest you get is St. Patricks day, where our society tells us to go out and drink.

You want to get a message that "racism is bad"? Do people honestly still believe in seperate but equal? That's what having "Black History" taught in schools, or a "Black History" month means to me. Another form of seperate but equal. Bullshit. Everyone is equal, there should be no "Black History". It should be OUR history, so that when my daughter grows up... She doesn't differenciate between the two. It won't be seperate, it will be equal.

"Lost points on the style"

As usual I'll probably get a whole bunch of kiddies saying this review wasn't helpfull, but what I'm about to say has to be said. You did a very good job animating, but the style points need to be chopped right out. This movie was racist- reverse the colors, show a white man being shot by a black man, change the words; white man dead. I'm white, and I will tell you now that I would find the poem tasteless that way, and so I find it disgusting this way. Again, good animating job- I don't give 9/10 easily for that.

"Disturbing..."

The fact that everyone is a silhouette gives this flash an eerie, surreal feeling.... It was very engaging in a subtle way... But, racism isn't really that bad anymore, so the message wasn't as powerful as it should have been. Yet, it's still an excellent flash.

The title gave it away. Good flash with a "broken record" type of message.

Would've voted higher if the imagery had been darker, colder more sinister. All I saw were shadows and all I heard were jumbled words thrown in with an accent which I could barely understand.

The message you wanted to send lost power because it wasn't clear... A clear, simple message is what people want...RACISM IS BAD!!!! Is that simple enough?

This is the best thing on Newgrounds ever. Kudo's to Indyanimator for making a flash most people on this site probably won't fully understand, let alone appreciate. For those of you who had badmouthed this entry, keep in mind the average african-American makes about half as much money as the average white. Racism against blacks and every other race still exist even today, even if the north did win the civil war. Before giving blamming this entry, I suggest you read Marlene Nourbese Philip, and listen to Bob Marley. Oh and GFD_Luc, try speaking Jamaican before criticizing other's inability to speak YOUR language. Although the animation consisted mainly of shadows and red blood, it made the message of an already poignant poem even more clear. Although I enjoy some of the less mature content on Newgrounds. I think they should make a section for adult's like me who have been watching flash for over 6 years now

Try to speak englisch first be4 you make something like think because I didn't understand much of it.
Why is it that 'black' people can do and say whatever they want and when a white guy say's something bad about a black guy it's racism? I think that is lame.
I don't really like this flash and it's because of the reasons I wrote abouve.
I don't say the KKK or Nazi's are good but please don't act like black people are poor inoccent victems because they aren't.

"Right...."

I understand that this flash deals with discrimination, and though there was no timeline within this movie, odds are that it was set during the 30s-50s. I didn't really like the tone, or the naration too much; there was something about it that was intimidating, which is probably not the tone that should be used. One can't fight violence with violence. May that set in to those that read this. On the contary, I liked the message of the movie.
