"Great Flash"

Great Flash. Very good poem. Its sad how so many people rated you low not because of the flash, but because they don't like blacks. Screw them! I loved the way the poem was delivered: full of power, outrage, and with a good voice. I also like how everyone was rendered as shadows, forcing the viewer see the characters as anyone and no one. We need more of these artful flashes that comment on society in an intelligent way. Ignore the naysayers below because they are either too ignorant to understand poetry, too ignorant to understand racism, or just plain mean spirited.

The law comes down harder on blacks because a higher percentage of black youths commit crime as opposed to white youths. This is not some racist opinion I've concocted, but actual proven fact. Though I'm sure you don't want to hear it.

I felt that this was an extremely well put together flash. The reading of the poem went great with the music, and the graphic style helped to paint a great picture. I also feel that to give this flash bad ratings simply because you do not like poetry or because you do not agree with it is wrong. Unfortunately, too many people these days read or hear or see something that makes them think, and it causes an adverse reaction. Too many people watching reality t.v. shows, not enough picking up a book. It's a damn shame, really.

Great messgae and great flash. I thought that itwas good that you made a poem into a flash movie. Some of the reviews for this movie are stupid. It is not racist you idiots, it is just a movie with a powerful messagefor racist people like some on NG. People that wanted to blam this are just idiots that do not notice a good flash when they see one.

I was amazed at what some negative stuff people said when they left their reviews. Someone under the username CptFuzzies, a "20 year old:" according to his profile (I feel deeply sorry for him if that is his real age) said "i give this a blam, u know why?
because of immigrants thats why black people think there so deserving just because their kind were once slaves" Honestly, I whistled so many abusive reviews its not even funny. Im starting to realize that about 60% of Newgrounds are idiots.

Okay, my rant is over. It was a great flash movie and I really appreciated it. Thank you for maing it.

This message is a powerful one; let's not fuck around with "ooh the graphics aren't great are they!". Fuck that! This message is more important than that. The fact is there's so much segregation and isolation within American society that black people are feared. Racism is such a taboo in Britain, even to the extent that it becomes reverse racism which isn't good either, yet in America you'd be hard pushed not to find a story that demonises black people on TV.

You fuckers quoting bullshit statistics. Open your fucking eyes! The white British forefathers you worship were no more than a group of racist morons that have caused the biggest hypocrasy in the world: "Ooh I love Jesus, let's worship him how we want in the new world. But Jesus must have been a white man. To say he's anything else is blasphemy 'cos coloured people aren't people at all!" You know why America was born? The USA was founded by people considered not fit to live in Europe, and we've had some real cunts here in the past 200 years so who the fuck did we kick out?!

First of all, Congrats on the great Flash. Nice Smooth animation, but the sounds are a bit crappy, and most of the things we´re hard to understand. Try putting some subtitles.

Second, even if I couldn´t understand the narration, the flash says all. The intolerance, just by being different, of a standard that the state obligates (Almost Like that) us to follow. Try to be different, and consider yourself dead.

Third, About the review talking about 60% of black Teenagers are thieves, or muggers, first of all. Just because his black, doesn´t mean he´s bad. But, hardly I hear someone complain, or make speculations, about those corrupt politicians, which steal millions of the people, but most of the time go unpunished, ´cause they got money to run away, different of the so called "Teenager Black Thieves".

Thank our over-sensationalist TV network, which just put the small muggers, thieves and stuff, under the lightspot. Nice Flash...

ya it is true most cops are harder on black people and it is true taht there are ALOT of raciest people against blacks. IM not one of them. I dont beleive in racisim, but if u think about it that is what ur submission was. It was just showin the fact that if u run from the cops they will take actions, some greater than others, but still they will take actions. Even though he didnt no he couldnt do what he did.. a reveiw was right "When ur in Rome, do as the Romans do" that can apply to anyone. I gave this a 6 because it was alright on the sound and graphics and stuff, but idk man just i dont agree with ur message

That was probably the best poetry reading I have heard in a very long while.
The graphics were excellent. I particluarly liked the background while he was running from the cops.

I don't however see it as a very good argument towards immigration however. When in rome, do as the romans do after all.

Sound was excellent.
