Let's see.. that's probably supposed to be the bet between Mephistopheles and God? The English text is nothing like the original one. Also I thought that the choice of music was... strange. But it started of good enough storywise. Not along to make wrong with that dialog though. Let's see what you did in Ep. 2.

,,Proolog im Himmel"!=!=! this was one of the best scenes ever done in the original play, and the real conflict between mephisto and god doesn't come out................
it really sucks......

That was good, it is a good thing u didn't just have scrolling text, 1 it would have been boring and 2 it would have got balmmed. The animations weren't the best i have ever seen but then i have seen them all but they really good. I am deffinly looking forward to seeing the next ep. whic i am guesssing is good as it came daily first (can't be that bad) I hope my excpectaions aren't let down

Wow, I never knew much about the story of Faust, that
it's based on Job (or seems to be).

This is really great. It's cool to see intelligent topics in flash
(although the insane ones are neat too :P ).

Toons like this make me wish that I could actually do good art
as well, and this one has made me want to see the Damnation of
Faust for sure.

I'm going to watch ep. 2 now, and wait for more to
come! Great, great work yo.

i always wondere what a gothe movie would be like, and Faust is better than Don Quixote. Good job, fitting music.

... well, movie wise, that was pretty good. Since your adpating a pretty verbose book, you can't really expect much "action" and thus the merits of your animation techniques can't really be questioned. In terms of drawings, however, pretty slick not overly stylised stuff. The music was apropriate for the scene (albite a little repetitive) also. Just one thing: ever read Don Quixote (Miguel de Cervantes) or (the highly underrated) Gulliver's Travels (Jonathan Swift)? Try these books before procaliming Goethe as the greatest ever. =]

Author's Response:

I've read both, and while both are good books, Goethe's Faust pwnz all.
