I liked the politics, but the format of a slightly random monologue wasn't really working. I assume that you were trying to get your ideas a cross in a way that people would take an interest in, but it wasn't particularly funny (you might not have been going for that). There was some good political satire, but it could have been in a more interesting format. You've got some good ideas, but you should find a different way to convey them.
