thats pretty much what hapens in liek the second day of The World Ends With You (a great SquEnix game for DS) the main character goes to Erase his partner, as she begs for mercy, but the main character isn't being controlled, just tricked. hopefully that isnt to much of a spoiler, it happens like 10 minutes into the game
